  • “You’re just paying for the logo” WRONG!
I had been reading the reviews that say “you’re just paying more for the Iwata logo”. Well that logo is worth every dollar. It seems like the people that say that are A. Don’t know how to properly take care of the item or B. just too broke to afford it and need a reason to tell themselves they don’t need it are the reason I see those posts. After using the Jet Pro Lite you can easily see that there is huge a difference in quality and performance. Yes, I fell into that trap of trying to save a dollar. I bought one of those no name compressor/tank set ups. Sure it did the basics but once I ponied up and bought the Iwata compressor, it was night and day. This compressor is a work horse and actually has the working pressure it says it has. 1–50 PSI. Not sure why the description says 1-60 but on the Iwata website it correctly states the working pressure. Also you get some of the best customer service and troubleshooting from Iwata head quarters. I have called a few times with random dumb rookie questions and they were beyond helpful. Trust me Iwata knows what they are doing. Why risk wasting one dollar on a compressor made by company that doesn’t know anything about airbrushing just because it’s cheaper? Spend a little more on the front end and you’ll avoid wasting more money trying to fix and or buy another compressor. ... show more

  • Worth the money
It's worth the money. It's a lot quieter the many others. With a radio on you almost don't notice the compressor kick on.

  • Great compressor
Very quiet. Holds line pressure very well, only runs when painting. Easy to control pressure.

  • Iwata Quality
This compressor has Iwata quality throughout; thoughtful design well executed. The power switch is on top, easily accessible as is the pressure control knob which is right next to the airbrush holder. It is surprisingly light weight and easy to move about. I have mine sitting on a plastic waste bin with a lid with no problems. For an air compressor it is quiet enough. Anyone who says "silent" is stretching but the chug-chug-chug is not intrusive. Since this compressor is tankless, the on-off feature can be a bit frustrating. The pressure does swing a few pounds between on and off. This swing is most notable when trying to dial in the pressure you want before spraying but also noticeable when doing detailed work. The working pressure range is accurate, it will blow a lot more air than I will ever need but also deliver the smaller amounts that I do. The pressure issue is not a reason not to buy this compressor, just a learning curve to get through but if you are doing a lot of fine work, a step up to a machine with a tank is probably a good investment. All that said, I'm pleased with the Power Jet Lite. It performs well with a learning curve to get through. ... show more

  • Super quiet, very well made.
Wow. This thing is a fine piece of equipment. It came highly recommended by the pros. It has no tank, so it just runs when you need pressure. It only runs once in a while with light usage. It can sit sometimes for an hour before turning on to raise the pressure back to my setting. I assumed a tankless compressor would always be running when you turn it on. Not the case here. And when it does turn on, it's super quiet! ... show more

  • Worth every penny
Not much you can say other than it works great and performs leaps and bounds above any "cheaper air compressor" you might come across. If you are serious about airbrushing and plan on doing more than one project this thing is the way to go. It is a bit of an investment, however it is one that pays off in the long run. ... show more

  • Great mid-high end compressor
Zero issues so far, mine goes up to about 45 psi max which is enough for my various brushes, they make a more powerful model for professionals but this should do more than fine for any hobbyist.
