I got this tablet for my 4 year old. Our only experience with tablets prior, have been the kids fire tablets. The screen is a nice big size, and the case has saved it a few times due to tantrums. It's been thrown down stairs, against walls and dropped a number of times. I like the big handle, which doubles as a stand. It's not the most sturdy, but it does a basic job when on a flat surface. It was fairly easy to setup. I set up my profile first... I'm a current Google and Android user, and it gave me the option to 'copy' data and apps from my phone automatically, including the option to pick and choose which apps and other info I wanted to transfer. To set up my son's profile, I needed to create a Google kids account for him. It was simple and didn't take long. The profile is added to your Google family; you can control settings, access, set limits, see device info remotely (such as battery percentage), and much more from any device. As far as usability, it's on the slow side and sometimes lags or locks up, especially when switching profiles or starting up after "waking up", which can be frustrating for kids who don't understand (or are used to a faster device). Because it's connected to the Google play store (restricted access), there are a ton of options to download different apps, books, etc. I'm notified each time a new app is installed on his device. Certain ones do require parental permission, which can be done by sending a request to the parent's account, or on the tablet itself (in person), for which a password needs to be entered to be approved. Controls are very similar (pretty much identical) to an Android phone. I did like that there are volume controls incorporated in the bottom control/home bar. The battery doesn't last as long as his fire tablet, which obviously is going to depend on a number of factors like usage, screen brightness and the type of app use. It generally needs to be charged daily if using for several hours throughout the day. It does seem to charge a bit slower than other devices, taking 3-4 hours. Screen brightness can be improved on - I wish it would go dimmer (even with extra dim on), especially for nighttime use. I don't see a huge difference with brightness either - 50% isn't much dimmer than 100%. I haven't used the camera other than to just check it out, but it takes okay pictures. Not very impressive, especially in low light, but could be worse. The speakers produce enough volume, but they're located in the back so it does get too loud sometimes. Storage is sufficient and haven't run into being full. I installed a Samsung SD card but it wasn't compatible,so I tried another brand, but it can only be used to transfer, not store games. Overall, it's a fair price. It's slightly cheaper than fire tabs of the same size, but doesn't include access to Amazon kids. Not to worry - there's tons on free content through the play store and has so far kept my son entertained as needed.

The ITDULCET is a solid kids tablet. It can handle all the basic functions that you would expect in a kids tablet. It has no problem handling basic games and the standard learning based games that are available online. I would not try to use this tablet to play high performance games that require a lot of processing power. It is not the fastest tablet on the market, but it is not slow. Someone that has become accustomed to using a fast high powered computer may feel it is "slow," but overall it is definitely sufficient for kids and even adults. Personally, I think it is fast enough for basic use for the average person who is not deep into technology. It took about 4.5 hours to charge the battery from 2% to 100%. You can expect the battery to last ~6 hours when being heavily used, like watching videos with high brightness. I am quite impressed with the batter life. It is more than double the previous tablet (different brand) that we used. The wifi requires a 2.4 GHz connection. Most routers are dual connections, so all devices can connect through the same connection. Some devices require the connection be split. Since I have a device that requires a split connection (I have a 2.4 and 5.0 GHz connection created through my router) the tablet only recognized the 2.4 connection. There is no mention of this in the user guide, but it is noted in the product listing. So, please note that if you have problems connecting the tablet to your wifi then you may want to consider this while troubleshooting. The kickstand doubles as a handle. I really like the long, wide and straight opening for the handle. However, I wish the kickstand would support additional angles. The case has a thick silicone/foam feel to it and in my opinion I believe it will survive drops from 3-4 feet without any issues (assuming the screen does not get a direct hit from a rock, a corner of a steel table, etc...). It is also easy to take the tablet out of the case. If you have ever struggled removing a phone or tablet from a case then you will appreciate this. It states there a 2 year warranty, but there is also a warranty card to activate an extended warranty. The tablet comes a few apps that can be used for child monitoring and restrictions. Since this is an android device I am using the Google "family link" app. It requires the adult to have a Google account and from there you can create a kids account. Once you have both accounts activated you are able to have both as "users" on the tablet. Each user can have a separate login passcode. When logged into the adult account you can manage the kids account. For example, you can set screen limits and designated times to allow usage. You can also control what apps are visible on the kids account. One cool thing I like (adult) is that I was able to download the family linnk app to my phone and then can get push notifications on activity. For example, when a new game was downloaded from I got a notification that "quiggles" was downloaded. I was also able to allow only apps that have no ads and have no in game purchases. I imagine over time I will learn about more controls and parameters that I can set via the adult account. One cool thing that the kid likes is being able to easily cast to the TV. I decided to allow the YouTube kids app (regular YouTube is blocked). Of course nothing is perfect, but I do trust Google is doing their best to keep the kids YouTube results free of explicit material. It makes it easier for me when I am asked "come see this video!" I can say "cast it to the TV and let me see it!" Another cool thing is that it has a decent front and back camera. However, since the camera is technically an "app" you can disable camera usage from the kids profile via the adult profile in the family link app. The one strange thing I noticed is that, although I am in auto rotate screen mode, certain situations automatically force me through the vertical screen orientation. Not a big deal and I am thinking maybe this could get corrected through a system update. Overall, we (adult + kid) are satisfied with this tablet. This tablet is Made in China and being sold by a Chinese company on Amazon.

I have overall been quite pleased with this tablet for my younger kids. I appreciate it being a larger size similar to my iPad that they always want to play with. It was relatively easy to set up, and there are tons of options per apps. Well, I’m typically used to an Apple interface, it wasn’t too difficult to figure out the controls. One of my favorite features is the ease of parental guidance when it comes to setting app and time restrictions. I especially love the FamilyLink app that allows me to control things on the kids tablets directly from my phone. I am able to grant permissions on app, downloads, change, screen times, and monitor activity. I have found the charge lasts an incredibly long time and so far, my kids have quite enjoyed having their own tablet to play with. The only slight downside that my kids have found, is my older son enjoys playing games like Roblox, and has found the responsiveness on this tablet does not keep up with the game as my iPad does. I’m not sure if that is something that we can fix in some type of setting or additional memory, but I am having my husband spend a little more time researching it.

The perfect YouTube tablet!!! My Newphew just uses it to watch videos and play games. It was fairly easy to set up this tablet. The quality overall is ok and the protective case is pretty decent as well. The case seems very durable and fall proof. I also didn’t have any issues hooking it up to the Wi-Fi.

Only powerful enough for basic tasks. At least it's not tied down to the FireOS so you get access to Play Store apps. It's very dim so no outdoor use. Not unhappy as it's good enough for YT kids and some learning games. It's on par with 2015 tablets.
