Got this vice for my work bench. Irwin has a reputation for excellence. THIS vice is almost junk. Made from low grade material China crap. However, it is a cut above the rest of the China made crap. Overall this is a decent quality Vise for the price. Jaws are fairly parallel, screw works fine, mounting was easy and swivel lock works ok.

Its an Irwin, not to heavy, not cheepo seems a solid vise. has 4 mounting holes, solid alignment shaft, pipe grips inside, not hollow this is a solid casting. has steel jaws, has a 1.5" x 2.0" flat anvil, nice locking with good T-handle. all around a very nice, worth it, vise

Despite the 4.5" jaw width, the body of the vice is smaller than expected. Babylike! Having actually seen it, it should have been cheaper. Would have like something more robust. Still handy though, so decided to keep it. Hope it does not break under pressure.
