*Going on two years of constant wear in all weather through horse manure, mud, intense salt water and crude oil. I don't take care of my boots,I just wear them. Very little sole wear but short of shale I'm rarely on concrete.Schools still attached like new. The side seams have partially split BUT I was born with underformed ankles, I am considered partially handicapped lol...Anyhow, I'm rather unstable, even with custom insoles, wide feet and I lean. The outer seam on one boot and inner seam of the other makng it obvious this is due to my stance, insults and abuse. The lining is still in tact. But I can lace these up tight and do a days work. I'm only back because the laces have worn, not broken...Kevlar strand is still hanging in. .Excellent work boot. On and off fast, lightweight and very comfortable. Comes with very fine but strong laces. Being as small as string, they don't cut into your hand but don't grip the eyelets while tying, which allows for easy on and off. I agree with another reviewer that one boot cuff was rough on my calf...at first. If you are use to wearing a full boot, tie these a little loose at first and your calf will adjust quickly.     • Comfortable, high quality boot, that doesn't break the bank.
I have to say that I love the shoes, because for the price, they are killer quality! Once broken in, the boots fit like a glove. I purposely didn't get steel toe boots, because of the added weight. These shoes are very light, and comfortable for work. I wear them 10-14 hours daily, and even on my day off I will wear them. My wife constantly tells me to take them off once I'm home, because they're so comfortable I forget they're on. The boots have been through hell and back, and seem to hold up well.     • careful with size pick
so far these boots are perfect but they are about a half size to big... i myself love the fit cause i use inserts, but if ur just buying them to ur size, go about a half size small at the least. other than that these boots are great, especially for the price!

    • Quality comfort with zero break in time
These are the most comfortable boots I've ever owned. Most Irish Setters are available in EE wide sizes, which suits my flat wide feet. I usually have to experiment with one size larger to get the right fit. Narrow toes kill my feet and loose boots hurt my ankles. I bought these boots because they were on sale and was greatly surprised by the quality and comfort. Most boots require a great deal of time to break in but these seem to be an exception. They fit and were comfortable right out of the box. I wore them all Summer and my only complaint is they seemed a bit warm for hot weather work but I look forward to using them this winter. ... show more

My husband works on a commercial farm and needed boots that would hold up. After being disappointed with Red Wing he got these and loves them. They have held up very well for him.

They fit and feel great. 40 years on my feet have made them sensitive ti shoes. These are pretty good. Even though they are soft toe there is some kind of plastic insert in the toe, so they still have the look of steel toe boots. These are pretty good for maintenance but they are not heavy duty.     • Defective or poor quality rivets
The first time I tried on these boots one of the eyelets for the laces popped right off. I figured this was a fluke and contacted Amazon for a replacement. Amazon was great with the return. I received the replacement boots a couple days later and tried them again. The same thing happened. Both times the eyelet on the right boot popped off. The head of the metal rivet attaching the metal eyelet to the leather just popped off. I am assuming that something in the manufacturing process weakened the rivet or they are just that cheap. Anyway, I did not request another replacement. As far as the fit. They fit a bit on the large size.I usually where an 11 or 11.5. The size 11's I ordered were a bit loose, but would have probably broken in if I had the opportunity to wear them. To bad, these are a nice looking and comfortable boot if I could lace them up.
