  • Cute little robot to learning about coding
Style: Evo Entry Kit
Great little robot to get kids started on learning about coding. A bit touchy with the lines/colors and need to ensure they are right size when coloring when creating your own scratch paper. The booklet comes with different “routes” to try out and color in with stickers to cover them up and try again with new colors. Short power cord also comes with it. Overall great value for the money. ... show more

  • Coding r2d2
Style: Evo Entry Kit
The media could not be loaded. Kids love these. They work with special markers (included). They learned how to use these in a robotics class. So fun and engaging! I bought each their own to 'code' the colored paths on white paper. They were able to use them right out the box.

  • Neat little Robot
Style: Bit Coding Robot
I’ve had this for a few weeks in my robotics class and I just wanted to thoroughly test it before reviewing it. I love how easy it is to use. It took me seconds to set it up. I got the app on the iPad and it didn’t take very long to charge it. No wifi/ Bluetooth connection is needed. Calibrating it is very easy. You just turn it on and hold it for a few seconds until it flashes and then you set it on the iPad in the circle and a calibrates within seconds. I love that there are lots of games for my students to play in the app. And it typically will last at least 3 hours without being charged. (that is constant play) I have two struggles with it though, I really want my students to code it and I am struggling to find the right app to do that. I didn’t realize when I bought it that there’s a difference between a bit and an Evo. The app that is coding looks like it’s for Evo. I will update my review if I figure out how to make it code. It’s also nice that you can use it without technology, there are several mats that you can use that it comes with and you can also build your own with markers. You can also decorate it, but my sixth and seventh graders were not interested in decorating it. I do think that would be cool for a younger kid though. I am noticing that my sixth and seventh graders are starting to grow board with it which surprises me a little. I feel like if I can find the coding app I might be able to get some of my higher achievers. As it stands right now my good programmers will play with it for one class and have fun just playing but they’re looking for something a little more challenging. I think that this would also be great to take to a restaurant, or a place where you know that your child is going to have to sit for a while. I can see a very young child being able to use it because it is so simple, but it does get a little more challenging as you choose the different games on the iPad. Because it is so small and portable and you can charge it off of your phone it would keep a child busy for a while. The only thing that kept me from giving it five stars was the fact that I’m struggling to find the coding part of it. ... show more

  • My daughter loves it!
Style: Evo Entry Kit
As a parent, I am always seeking engaging and educational activities for my children. Ozobot is a small, programmable robot that interacts with specially designed color codes on a surface. By drawing different patterns and sequences, my daughter can control Ozobot's movements, teach it logic, and solve puzzles. This hands-on approach makes learning fun and easy. Ozobot empowers children to learn the basics of coding without overwhelming them. The color codes represent different instructions, allowing my daughter to experiment with different commands and create complex routines. Most importantly, my 10-year-old loves playing with Ozobot. It's a perfect blend of education and entertainment that keeps him engaged for hours on end. I highly recommend this educational toy to any parent seeking to foster their child's interest in STEM. ... show more

  • Super cool
Style: Evo Entry Kit
Loved the product for my son. Requires a lot of focus and can easily entertain for hours. Very futuristic looking and is not too hard for critical thinkers. Very durable and it does what the listing says. You have to be careful with some of its parts but as long as you take care of it it will last.

  • Crawler doesn't crawl
This review is for the crawler. I purchased it thinking it had high reviews but it seems all of the reviews are for the robot, not this accessory pack. This accessory pack is very difficult to put together. I bought this with the hope that it would add a bit more robotics for my class that was already learning coding with ozobot evos. I asked my 6th grade daughter to put it together and she gave up because her fingers were hurting. I put it together myself and I understood why her fingers were hurting. Plus, in every pack there seems to be one piece that just won't connect. The little piece goes flying across the room never to be seen again. I imagined a class full of 4th graders (my intended audience) trying to complete this task and I'm already 75% ready to return it. After I finally completed one (I had to open another bag to replace the piece that went missing), I found it didn't work. No matter how I adjusted the tension screw, the thing never moved. So I built another one, and tried different evo's with it all to no avail. I imagined having this experience with my 4th graders and now I am 150% convinced that I need to return this. I have found Evo's to be inconsistent when using them with the markers, and much more cooperative when coding them with blockly. The crawler takes away all consistency that is gained from using blockly and renders this a frustration factory. ... show more
