We recently rescued a large Bernese Mountain Dog & got this to store his dry food. But it’s so large & easy to maneuver (and fits under a table), that we also use it to store some of his other things. Instead of pouring his bag of dry dog food directly into the bin, we put the entire bag in the bin. I have several other containers; the lids pop off, they are skinny, and they don't allow putting large bags directly inside. This one is a better shape, the wheels don't pop off when you slide the container around, and the lid doesn't come off when you lift it (will open to 270*), and I can fit large bags to scoop from (I cut off the tops and leave the bags inside). I put the dog food in, and I don't smell it in the pantry. This is a very good thing. It holds the large Costco bag of dog food, and I can roll it out of the pantry to access the items behind it. I used for cat food I buy for ferals in large bags. Each one holds exactly 9 lbs. of my cat food but is light enough for me to move and store. Good size for cabinet and storage shelves. Latch holds but doesn’t click closed so have to be csreful

Works great when I have two separate dog foods to keep track of. Food stays fresh and the pups don't try to break in to get their food. If you have a dog that will break it, you might want to get one with a stronger lock.
