It’s been a year since I bought it and it worked well for us. We use this bin in the garage to store a 40-lb dry dog food bag, which I just stick inside the bin with the bag itself (I don’t empty food into the bin). I think 40-lb is the max I’d use in this bin. We have a spaniel who lives inside the house and eats next to the kitchen. I also bought a large scoop and a pantry container which we fill in the garage but this large in stays out of sight and out of the way. Rollers are very convenient for moving the bin. The lid doesn’t seem air tight and latches are not very tight either, but so far we didn’t have an issue with pests getting into the food. ... show more

Decent container for holding dog food. I like the handle that clamps it shut, but I don't know about how secure it would be against my dogs if they tried to get into it. It's not super heavy duty either. It's a good size and fits two medium size bags of dog food.

I would have given this item a 5 star rating, except for the seller. The 28 quart Pet Food Storage Container with Attachable Casters easily held a 16 pound bag of dry cat food, and seals pretty good, the cat food has remained fresh, better than storing it in the bag. I ordered three of these containers from the same seller and they were shipped two on a Friday and the third came Saturday. However, one of the containers was shipped without the casters. I tried sending an email to the customer service of the seller's website TWICE. NO RESPONSE. Twice I filled out the contact form on their customer service page and still no response. I tried calling their Customer Service Phone number, no answer 4 times and the fifth time it went to voicemail, where I left my name, number, and the problem. No returned call yet. So, while I can vouch for the product as a good product, I have to say that the SELLER Iris USA Inc. is absolutely the worse when it comes to caring for their customers. Sturdy, holds dog food great. Not 58 lbs...not sure what size the food chunks were but it would only hold one bag of 30lbs and maybe 10lbs still in the bottom

I got this to store kitty litter. First off, there is was a crack upon arrival near the top of the container. The amount of litter I put in was way under the 58lbs threshold and two of the wheels popped off. This is really cheaply made. I do not recommend.

Good size; thinner plastic than I thought it would be. Lid has styrofoam seal under edge of lid which will probably wear out faster than I’d like. Lid is sturdy plastic & has a handle latch that clicks tightly when lid is closed — a good tight seal Hinges are not very good. Lid has 2 (~2”) j shaped plastic edges that hook into 2 small rods on rear lip of can — comes undone most times I open the lid; with practice, I can get lid to stay on after I open it. Can is a bit transparent — which is great — can monitor level of food product inside can. Rolls pretty good too. It’s a keeper !! ... show more

It is an ok pet food storage container. Nice size and the wheels are a really nice feature. The lid is not airtight but is better than nothing. I have purchased many Iris pet food storage container thru the years but this one is not up to standard lid wise. Would not purchase
