First time I've ever used grinder instead of clippers and this grinder is super quiet. My poodle wasn't in the least disturbed by it. Only trouble was I forgot it was a 3-speed and at first thought "Man this is going to take forever." Once I figured out how to change the speeds went very quickly. I suspect that a Dremel may be more powerful but for me having a bit less power make me less likely to grind into the quick so I"m happy with it. I tried it on my wife's German Shephard after she said she was giving up on trying to clip her nails and was going to take her to the vet to have it done. So the shepherd was much less reactive to the grinders than to the clippers. I'm sure others are better at it than me but it just seems like every time I use clippers I cut into the quick on one claw. Maybe not every clipping but often enough to make the dog remember and hate it. About impossible to get into the quick with this grinder.

We have a lab and frenchie. They desperately needed better nail care. Even though we have been clipping Labs nails for 9 yrs she still hates it. The frenchie is new to us at 1yr. He does a alligator roll when clipping his nails even with treats and bones. The lab barely tried to pull her legs away when getting nails done with this and lots of treats. The frenchie needed a big treat(bone) to keep occupied while doing it with minimal fuss. I havnt got their nails this short in forever. They look good and it was so easy. So glad I stumbled along this. Not very noisy to me but cant avoid the vibrating though. Word to the wise be very careful with clothing long hair(the dog or you) can easily get tangled in it.

Everytime I take my dog to get her grooming they want to charge me extra for the griding service on her nails . I decided to invest the money and get a pet grinder myself . I like the fact the light is so bright I can easily see the veins so I dont injure my dog when I perform the procedure. I am so far very happy with this product and will highly recommend it to anyone who is not afraid of doing this to their pet and its looking to save money in the long run. My dog is a 6lbs Maltese. I suggest you read the instructions so you can use depending of the type of dog you have.

I love this grinder, I purchased this after the motor on my previous one started going bad. This one is so much sturdier and quieter. The light is great. I love love love the dust cup with is nice for keeping the nail dust contained. The battery life is amazing, I do my 2 dogs toenails every 2-3 weeks and get multiple uses off of one charge. I also like that it shows battery percentage so you know when a charge is needed.

I've had the ones with sand paper on them before but eventually the sandpaper isn't rough any more. This one is metal and it's rechargeable. Works great on my pups nails.

I really like this nail grinder. The 3 speeds are really great for all size nails. It fits very comfortably in my hand. There is a problem though. I don’t care if it had 100 lights. You can NOT see through black nails!

I am impressed by how solid this device is. It has a light to make it easy to see what you are doing and takes care of the nails quickly and efficiently. Your dog will likely need some time to get used to it but once they do you are good to go.
