Important Notes:· It is normal for the scissors to have a slight gap when closed. This is an intentional design to reduce friction.· It is also normal for there to be gaps between the teeth of the thinning shears.· If the gap is too large, try adjusting the tension screw to reduce the gap.· If your dog’s fur is severely matted, detangle it first before cutting. Otherwise, it could damage the scissors and result in uneven trimming.· It's recommended to give your dog a bath and dry their coat before trimming. Start with thinning scissors to thin out the coat, then use other scissors to finish the trim.· Pay close attention to the correct posture when using the scissors. Improper use can affect the trimming results (causing snagging and pulling) and may also damage the scissors.· After using the scissors, clean them with a dry cloth to prevent residue from dulling the blades. If possible, disinfect the blades with alcohol to extend the lifespan.Suitable Areas for Different Types of Scissors:· Straight Scissors: Ideal for trimming most parts of the dog’s body, such as the back, legs, abdomen, and can also be used for detailing the edges of the ears and tail.· Thinning Shears (also called Blending or Chunking Scissors): Perfect for trimming the dog's head, face, ear edges, and areas with thicker fur.· Curved Scissors: Best for shaping the dog's facial contours, around the ears, chest, and hips, where curved lines are needed. I have used this set several times and found the scissors cut fine and the comb works great. My only complaint is due to the shape of the finger holes, it’s hard to pick the scissors up from a flat surface. I typically need to slide them to the edge of the table before I can get my fingers in the holes enough to pick them up. They are rounded in such a way that I can’t get quite enough of a grip to pick them up one handed. I have an Australian Shepherd and I live in the tropics. These dogs cannot be shaved. This scissors set is fantastic!! Takes out the undercoat easily and the curved scissors are great for the corgi cut butt!!

I am so THRILLED with these! I have bought so many tools to do Lola’s grooming myself & all have failed me, until now! These come professionally packaged w a shears case. I was a hair stylist many years ago & my mother has been all her life still working at 78 (for the gossip lol) but I showed her these & we are amazed at the craftsmanship of these! My main pair of shears were over $700.00 so I wasn’t expecting to Much at this great price, but I am overjoyed at the ease of using these. The variety that comes. The quality of them is amazing. They are sharp so be cautious. I recommend getting used to them in your hands before using on pets. Also NEVER cut anything but hair pet fur w them. This will help keep them sharp without warping the edges I have small hands & was worried they would be to loose but they are the perfect size & lightweight They work beautifully on Lola! They were nice at first but didn’t last a year. One broke (the screw kept coming loose) and the other lost its sharpness. I mostly use it to trim my dogs face. You’re better off spending more with a brand that lasts longer.
