I didn't want to spend over $150 or more for a radon fan so, I thought I'd give this a try. It was only $48 and the dryer duct was only $9 a piece (you need two). I connected it to my homemade sump pump basin cover lid. ( the lid is 1/4 inch ABS Plastic sheet, 24" x 24" ). Well, it worked. For a quick, cheap and easy fix. It brought down my radon gas levels in my basement from over 7.00 pCi/L to 0.78 pCi/L on a weekly average. The fan did leak, but I used silicone caulk to seal it. Now, no leaks. I've had the fan running 24/7 for over a month and no problems. We'll see how long it lasts. If it holds up, I saved alot of money. I'm very happy so far.

I don't know if you would want to sleep in the same room as this unless you are used to a fan blowing next to you. It's not loud but I have it in another room and I don't hear it at all that way.

Does a good job of keeping the smell down from 1 cannabis plant, gonna try 3-4 plants soon but I think this fan can handle it. The tubing didn’t around the carbon filter; I used duct tape to secure the tubing in place. It’s made a fine seal and when the tent is closed u can see the obvious suction that this fan puts in the tent. Also my filter can with a cloth that fits around it…not sure if I was supposed to wrap it around the filter for good measure but I did and it doesn’t seem to negatively affect the fan so far.

Not silent but not loud either. Tolerable noise. But I can’t seem to keep it from disconnecting at the seems. I used the aluminum tape and properly sealed it…. I’m a hvac specialist who works with sheet metal and building air ducts. Unless I use my own supplies it keeps falling apart.
