I've been using this fan with a 6ft long 6in duct to pull cold air into an office full of heat producing computers. For my use case, it has worked pretty well. I was hoping that it would be a bit quieter, and while it's really hard to move a lot of air quietly, the 35dB claimed on the page is way off. At best (when set to it's lowest speed), I'm able to measure 60dB from 3ft away using a calibrated sound level meter. At the highest speed, I measure 65dB at the same distance. I knew that 35dB couldn't be right for a fan this size, but I was really hoping for something in the low 50's that could be blocked easily with headphones. I'm also skeptical of the 395CFM airflow spec, but I don't have the equipment to measure that accurately. ... show more

Received 2 of the 6 inch exhaust fans but only 1 had a mount. Would like to get another mount but not sure how to go about it.

I had an insufficient furnace output getting upstairs to the living areas. This unit boosted the output so much I can run my furnace at a definite lower setting. Now my house is very comfortable and I'm saving on my gas bill. This item is very well built. Well worth the money. I highly recommend it.
