I really like this watch. It was super cheap on sale, like bottle-of-whiskey cheap, so I didn’t have the highest expectations. The movement feels a little loose when I set it, but it’s kept perfect time. I did notice the minute hand pulsing at 4:20, it was like it bound up for a few minutes but it hasn’t recurred and it didn’t lose time. Maybe break-in. Maybe it was jonesing since it happened at 420. I absolutely love the look of this watch. Invicta should use this unique porthole case more; it’s original. Put a screw down crown on and a rotating bezel, and you’d have a truly original dive watch from a brand that’s best known for mimicking Rolex. The brushing and case finishing are very good too. I’m not sure what the graphics are meant to represent, maybe some kind of depth gauge, but it looks cool. I like the yellow color too, it is clearly not gold. It’s truly yellow. I like the fit of the watch. I put it on a gray NATO (I work at a computer, so a NATO is the only way to keep the buckle from digging in, it moves it out of the way). The silicone band is very nice, I’ll keep it around for in-water stuff. I have a very large 8.5” wrist, and the watch rides perfectly on it. It’s worth noting that a nice aftermarket silicone watch strap costs almost as much as this watch WITH a nice silicone strap. I think this is the best overall value in my watch box. It’s on par with a plastic Casio in price, with finishing that’s far better than anything in the price range. I’m a diver, and I wouldn’t take this thing on a dive, but it’s not made for that. I have other watches that are. I’d certainly take it to the beach, or paddling, or surfing. It’s already been skiing twice, and the hands and dial are super legible. The fixed bezel is actually nice for the beach and surfing; I’ve had rotating bezels get jammed with sand. Verdict: Crazy value for money. Great looks. Unique case that Invicta should use more. The fixed bezel is a little weird. The movement feels a tiny bit janky. Very nicely finished. Invicta is at their best when they’re being creative AND restrained.
