Easy to set up and install, and the app worked perfectly right out of the box. Changing the mounting from bottom to side was a bit tricky—the included instructions weren’t very helpful, so I had to watch a YouTube video to figure it out. I like that you can purchase an additional battery as a backup, though I haven’t needed to charge it yet. The image quality, both day and night, is crisp and clear. I used siding clips to mount the camera since I didn’t want to drill into my siding. I was initially worried about the camera being too heavy for this method, but it’s held up perfectly so far. Overall, this camera does exactly what I need—it meets the mark, and I’m very happy with it!

I’ve purchased several brands of outdoor wired and wireless cameras, and these are actually by far the best at any price point. First off, the battery life is excellent. Even viewing the feed for several hours a day they seem to last weeks. They also connect nearly instantly to live video feed. Many other cams I’ve tested seem to take 15-20 seconds or more to get to a live feed. The video quality is also consistently good; nice and sharp, although occasionally the resolution can drop substantially. Also, unlike some competitors the night vision in these is actually very good. It almost looks like a black and white video during full sunlight and at similar resolution to normal daylight viewing. I’m watching for sales so that I can replace all of my other outdoor cams with these. They were also very easy to set up through the Ring app, and the whole setup process was done in maybe 5 minutes (even after waiting for a software update).

I upgraded one of my outdoor cameras with this. Now I'm annoyed because the video quality is so much better I want to upgrade ALL of my outdoor ring camera. Setup is a breeze. Easy to connect, and all of my Ring stuff has been outdoors, lived through two hurricanes, and 4 years of hot Florida sun.

I bought this 2-pack for my home security and the difference compared to older models is night and day. Here’s the quick breakdown: 2K Video Quality: The Ring Vision is incredibly sharp. You can actually zoom in on faces or license plates without losing detail. Full-Color Night Vision: The Low-Light Sight feature is impressive. It shows actual colors even with minimal ambient light, not just that grainy grey look. Plug-In Convenience: Being the Plug-In version, I don’t have to worry about charging batteries. The Mount-Anywhere bracket is very flexible for tricky corners. Keep in mind: To save recordings and get person-detection alerts, you’ll need the Ring Protect subscription. Verdict: If you want reliable, high-resolution security for your home or business, these are a top-tier choice. Highly recommended!

This camera is a fantastic bargain if you can get it on sale. I'm not sure I'd pay a hundred bucks for it but anything between 40-60 seems more than fair. This is compatible with the third party mounting solution I use for my other Outdoor Cam, aka the Stick Up Cam. What I haven't been able to do is find a solar panel that works with this camera. I understand ring sells them but I was "one and done" getting a compatible third party solar panel for my Stick Up Cam so I had kind of expected this to be just as easy. So far I've had no luck, which means I have to get the step ladder out every now and then to go pull the battery for charging. Luckily this takes the same batteries as the Stick Up Cam, so I don't have to go up on a ladder that often. Take out the old one, pop in a charged one, and off you go. Ring promotes this camera as having enhanced optical clarity or some sort of next-gen technology. I'm not convinced I see a dramatic difference. It's a good camera, and it covers a wide area but I'm still not totally sold on the idea that it's a significant step up from the stick up cam. I give it the benefit of the doubt, and for the minimal price difference when either of them is on sale, moving forward I'm probably just going to keep buying these rather than the older stick up cam unless there's a deep discount on that one. HERE'S THE REALLY IMPORTANT PART! Every Ring user is told they get up to 180 days of video storage. Well this is true, it's not the default setting. Out of the box they are only giving you 60 days. You need to log into your Ring account and manually adjust your video storage settings for each device. It's quick and easy to do but they don't really tell you about it. The information is easy enough to find but they don't make much of an effort to tell you. I didn't learn about it until I went actively looking for it. The only reason I went searching for this info and the appropriate corresponding settings is because I logged on intending to download some camera footage that I needed, and it was gone. Irreplaceable camera footage, gone forever. Technically it isn't really their fault but if I didn't go looking for this information or the settings who knows how long it might have been until I stumbled over it. The damage is done, videos that I needed are gone. Events that can never be recreated, captured once, erased forever. Don't make the same mistake I made. Log into your account and make sure you're getting your 180 days. And remember, it's a per device setting, you can adjust it for each of your cameras separately. Please go do that before you too lose important footage. As far as the camera itself, the app, the customer support, everything's good and I'm very happy I joined this product family rather than going with a competitor just to save a few bucks.

Replaced an older Ring camera with this Outdoor Cam Plus (plug-in, newest model) and the upgrade is immediately obvious. The 2K video is sharper with better detail, and the wider field of view covers more area with fewer blind spots. Motion detection is more consistent than the older model it replaced, and alerts have been timely and reliable. Night vision performance is also improved, especially in low-light areas. Setup was straightforward in the Ring app and it integrated seamlessly with the rest of my Ring devices. As with any Wi-Fi camera, placement and signal quality matter, but once installed it’s been stable. If you’re on the fence about upgrading from an older Ring camera, this is a worthwhile step up without jumping to a fully wired system.

Great product that comes with a warranty. Camera can be powered by battery or 110v outlet. Battery requires more frequent charging if located outside. Power via outlet if possible
