The motion detection is sensitive enough to even pick up small pets (8lbs) with ability to listen and talk. I got it when it was on sale for $30 and it’s worth it. The video image is clear and the audio does what it needs to do. The only thing I don’t like is that you need to pay a monthly subscription to be able to save what’s being recorded. Other than that if you’re thinking of buying. Buy it :-)

We’ve got other Ring products, and they’ve been fantastic. Recently, we installed this camera, and it was a breeze—the whole setup was done in minutes. We’re using it as an indoor cam, pointed outside to monitor our backyard. The view covers almost our entire yard, and the picture quality remains crystal clear day and night. The motion detection is impressive—it even picks up deer and critters roaming around. Plus, it alerts us promptly. A cool privacy feature: if you install it indoors, is to stop capturing sounds from inside the house, while still detecting motion outside.
