  • Loving it so far! Loving it so far!
Size: 55-inch
Over the past few years I have purchased a number of the normal FireTVs for some of our bedrooms and my older sons heading off to college. They have performed quite well, possibly amazing, for the price. In our living room we have an expensive large OLED that has truly been great but as noted was quite expensive. While I work from home, I work a lot, even on the weekends at times so I have been looking for something to put in my office. While as basic TV would have worked just fine I have gotten a little spoiled with the OLED. However I just didn't need to spend that kind of money for a secondary TV. As the office is also used to gaming on the weekends, I did want something with at least 120 Hrz refresh that would work with consoles. After doing some research I thought I had a decision back around Thanksgiving then I notice the new FireTV Omni Mini-LED. The list price was a little higher than I wanted but I couldn't find any reviews so I waited. However with looming price increases on the horizon decided to make a decision now. Even though the some of the review noted issues, it's known than more people leave reviews if they have issues than if they are happy, I decided to take a chance is get the Amazon Fire TV 55" Omni Mini-LED Series and I couldn't be happier. The menus, after the updates, is quite fast. The FireTV interface is very easy to use and has all the apps I need. While I haven't tested with a console yet, sports in 4K look amazing and you can definitely tell a difference between the 60Hrz and 120 Hrz, the sound is excellent and the picture is simply stunning! Is the sound as good an expensive sound bar or home theater system, no, but it's better than almost any TV I have heard in years. Is the picture as good as my OLED that cost 5x as much? No but it's pretty darn close. Connectivity to WiFi has been excellent and I'm running about 500 Mbps on a gig connection over an Eero Max 7 system. Those are both Amazon products so I expected them to work well together and they do. While most weekend nights it may just be streaming Twitch or watching sports during the day it's been nice to have the news on in the background this week and I've watched a couple of movies while working in the evenings. Overall, especially considering I got it on sale, I've very pleased with my purchase and price. Truly it is exactly what I was looking for in this case. While noted it may not be as great as the TV costing 5 times as much... considering the picture vs cost if this had been out a couple of years ago I would easily saved $1500 vs what I got our primary OLED for and purchased the larger version of this. To me there is a point of diminishing returns, I don't need perfection on color accuracy or black level, just close enough with the right features. Fantastic television, especially if you can pick it up with at least a little discount! Edit Nov 2025 - Still love the TV, it's been great for sports and Amazon has updated the software as expected. However I need to note that with those updates it's gotten very slow in regards to menus and loading applications... very frustrated as the picture and sound are great. To fix the problem I picked up a FireStick 4K Max and it's quite a bit faster. I'm not sure why they wouldn't have included that processor and memory instead of whatever is inside the TV. ... show more

  • OMN 55inch Mini LED QLED Absolutley Great TV
Size: 55-inch
I am a very picky electronics buyer. I always research everything & have a strong, educated opinion on everything that is a "High End electronics purchase". Lets face it everything is so expensive these days & there is so much to choose from, it gets overwhelming at times with all the different options, sizes, types of screens, LCD, OLED, QLED, refresh rates 60hz, 120hz, 240hz, etc. But one thing is always the same with all of us, we want something with a great picture that will last & have no hassles, no problems, we simply want it to work & have a great picture & great sound. I'm a "TV Snob" meaning that I have never purchased a Flat Screen TV that wasn't made by the BIG 3 ( Samsung, LG, Panasonic, reason for this is because they not only manufacture but also assemble their TV's in house, most manufactures send out their TV's to be assembled by the cheapest place with the cheapest parts they can find which is a disservice to us, their customers. I currently own a 50inch Plasma by Panasonic, I also have 2 - 32inch LCD TV by LG & my cousin has a $3000 75inch by Samsung QLED TV so I've had a chance to compare TV's) until I saw this Fire TV by Omni for Amazon. I looked at the specs very carefully & they are the same specs a lot of other brands have, but they are not Amazon. The Amazon branded items are all quality items at a discount price that are designed to last the customers because lets face it, without us, the customer, Amazon is nothing & if they sell stuff that isn't good quality, they wouldn't last very long & Amazon is here to stay whether you like em or not. This TV checks all the right boxes with all of the components & Amazon Fire TV, Fire Stick & Fire Box software works great without that many hiccups its a pretty solid, dependable software. I looked at prices for the BIG 3 manufacturers of TV's & this price for the 55inch Omni Mini-LED QLED TV was significantly lower priced & the reviews were & are & remain very positive and I know why after buying & watching this TV for a few months now, it's an absolutely great TV with an excellent picture & the sound is incredible! If you're looking for a new TV I recommend this TV, the OMNI QLED Mini LED 55 inch TV, you'll love it. The picture quality is amazing & the sound is excellent ( they put a subwoofer in the TV with the speakers & its by far the best sound I've ever heard coming out of a flat screen TV Ive been watching mine since November of 2025 & its now June of 2026 ( I didn't want to write a review until I had a chance to use it for a while) & I can say you will be happy. Great price & delivered fast & on time. Thank you ... show more

  • Awesome television, highly recommended.
Size: 65-inch
Incredible picture quality, amazing black levels. Not OLED black levels, but close. Very bright display with great contrast. A little bit of a learning curve when it comes to calibration, but well worth the time you will spend getting the picture settings that suit your needs. This television is great for gaming as you will experience zero lag and a great response time, and of course stunning visuals. And if that weren’t enough, the tv sounds amazing. It sounds like it has a built in soundbar. And last but not least, the smart features are great, I love being able to see all of my blink cameras on my tv screen. One year later I am still very satisfied with my purchase. ... show more

  • Cheap TV, avoid amazon fire
Size: 65-inch
I wanted to like this TV because the price is attractive, but the overall experience has been incredibly frustrating. The interface is painfully laggy and slow to navigate, even for basic tasks like opening apps or switching inputs. Everything feels delayed and unresponsive. The home screen is also overloaded with invasive Amazon recommendations and ads. It constantly pushes content from streaming apps I don’t even use, which makes the whole experience feel cluttered and annoying instead of simple and user-friendly. On top of that, the TV has constant technical issues. Apps randomly stop working, the sound sometimes keeps playing after the TV is turned off, and there’s no straightforward way to force close or reset apps when they freeze. Basic functionality that should be seamless just isn’t. Overall, this TV feels cheap in all the wrong ways. The software experience is buggy, slow, and frustrating on a daily basis. I would strongly recommend spending a little more money on a non-Amazon TV brand if you want something reliable and enjoyable to use. ... show more

  • Incredible visuals, awesome features for movies and games at a reasonable price
Size: 55-inch
Prior to this I owned a pretty basic Sharp 50" 4k Roku TV that I bought in 2018. It has served me well for over 6 years at this point, but recently it became pretty evident to me that I was missing out on a lot of new and cool features that newer TV's had. I'm not wealthy. I don't have the luxury of being able to spend thousands of dollars on a huge OLED tv, though that is a personal goal of mine. I am VERY INVESTED in personal entertainment though. I spend a sizeable amount of my income on high-end electronic hobbies like video games and the home theater experience. When I play on my Series X or watch a 4k bluray, I want to feel like I'm getting everything out of the experience. This TV is perfect for this goal, at a VERY reasonable price. This TV supports HDR, VRR, Dolby Vision and Atmos, 144 hz gaming, and a ton of other high end features that complement the current state of gaming and home cinema. I've had this TV for a couple of days and I've seen parts of some movies and played quite a few videogames on it, and it has been like a night and day experience when compared to my old Sharp 4k TV. I played a little bit of Resident Evil 2 remake and was astounded at the sound and the visuals. Walking around with the flashlight in a pitch dark room felt palpably scary. Hearing all the creaks and groans around me with an actual discernible spatial quality was terrific and terrifying. I got this TV with the Fire TV Soundbar Plus and it has been a truly wonderful experience using these products together. Set up is ridiculously easy, and it feels like these products were designed with the other in mind. The height of the TV allows for the soundbar to comfortably sit beneath it. All in all, I'm very pleased with my purchase. It feels like a proper upgrade from my old TV. ... show more

  • Better than expected
Size: 55-inch
The Amazon Ember 55" Mini-LED Series completely blew me away. The picture quality is absolutely stunning — the Mini-LED panel delivers incredibly deep blacks, bright highlights, and vibrant colors that make movies, gaming, and streaming look phenomenal. Everything feels sharp, rich, and immersive right out of the box. What impressed me most is the brightness and contrast. HDR content looks incredible, and the local dimming makes dark scenes look clean and detailed instead of washed out. Whether watching movies at night or using it in a bright room during the day, the picture stays crystal clear and vivid. Gaming on this TV is also fantastic. The high refresh rate and smooth motion handling make fast-paced games feel incredibly responsive and fluid. Combined with the low input lag, it honestly feels like a premium gaming display disguised as a living room TV. The Fire TV interface is fast and easy to use, and having Alexa built in makes everything even more convenient. Streaming apps load quickly, navigation is simple, and voice control works surprisingly well. Build quality and overall design are excellent too. The TV looks sleek, modern, and much more premium than I expected for the price. Amazon really packed high-end features into this model without the massive premium price tag. If you want a TV with gorgeous picture quality, impressive brightness, smooth gaming performance, and excellent smart features, the Amazon Ember 55" Mini-LED Series is an easy recommendation. This TV feels like a serious flagship-level experience. ... show more

  • Built-in Fire TV interface frustrates to no end. Don’t Buy.
Size: 55-inch
I’ve been living with this TV for 9+ months now. DO NOT BUY IT! The picture is great. The built-in Amazon Fire TV interface is incredibly frustrating. It is terribly slow. When you do a vocal search on YouTube TV, the remote does not use the YouTube search, it uses the Alexa search and Alexa can’t find anything, requiring you to type everything out using the remote to very slowly move letter to letter in the grid. It’s nice to have Alexa there to answer questions or use your home automations, but if you connect the Amazon Sound Bar to the TV, the sound turns off when you turn off the TV, so even though Alexa stay active, you can no longer hear its response. Do yourself a favor and get a normal TV with another streaming device. You don’t need the frustration. ... show more
