  • Great Boat!
Style: French Oar - 48in
My 5 Year old Granddaughter loves her boat! The water gun that comes with it is great! All well made.

Style: French Oar - 48in
It all started when I attached my GoPro to one of the oars. I believe it was the left oar. Yes, yes it was. We were hanging out the campsite having a nice time, and I was struggling because my floaty back was getting in the way, so I took it off because hey, I'm not around any water. Fast forward a few Coors Lights and a couple hours later and I'm in the lake. The oar floats with my GoPro attached though so I'm not worried. Fast forward another hour and my buddy is trying to tow me in the raft with his little fishing boat and it is not going well. I drop the oar as the raft folds under itself and I fall out. I do save my Rocky Mountain nectar AND the oar with the GoPro, but I do notice it was starting to sink. Better keep a hold on it! I climb into the boat with my 3 friends and we head out to the big rock to jump off. When we get there I'm like I don't wanna jump off I'll just watch and sip my C minus. I do give the GoPro oar to my friend Charlie and tell him to NOT let go of it when he jumps off the cliff. He jumps and gets some probably pretty rad footage as he goes down, but he totally lets go of the oar. I watch from way above as it flips yellow end down and starts lowering into the murky water. I yell at him to get it but he doesn't, and the handle disappears below the surface, releasing little bubbles as it goes down. I yell expletives as I drop my smoothie and jump. I let go of 2 pairs of sunglasses and my friend Jenny's camera and my hat flies off. I land in the water and start swimming frantically. I grab the oar. That was SO close. Jenny recovered her camera (which was waterproof and floated) and is overall pretty cool about me basically sacrificing her stuff to get my GoPro and oar. We all get back in the boat and start heading back. I swear what happens next is not related to me driving but we are going pretty fast for the little boat and a large wake hits us from the side and the boat rolls. Everyone slides to the right and that causes the boat to roll enough to catch a bunch of water and throw us all from the boat. The boat begins to sink. Stuff is everywhere. We are all OK and frantically trying to save the boat. Jenny hands me my oar and says "I saved your GoPro Eddie!" I thank her and place it in the raft. That's the last time I saw it. I have no clue what happened. I assume it got bumped and bounced out and sank 40ft to the bottom of the murky lake. We did save the boat by pulling it underwater to shore. It later ran out of gas on the way back and we had to get towed. It's called the Leaky Pinnace. Anyway, these oars were a good replacement since the raft belongs to my parents. ... show more

  • Warped in the sun
Style: French Oar - 48in
Not a bad set of paddles for the price. You can even make a double-bladed paddle by using three of the four included shaft sections. The blades are rather small, if you can live with that. Compared to a larger paddle, you may find that the blade moves through the water nicely, but extra strokes will certainly be required to move your raft over any distance. All the pieces came in a heavy vinyl carry bag with handles, however the shafts are subject to permanent warping in a hot car, particularly if you leave any weight on them . Please see photo. ... show more

  • Good for price
Style: French Oar - 48in
I gave these 5 stars because for the ridiculous low amount of money they cost they exceeded expectations. I just needed some paddles for my 10ft Livingston to row out and check my crab pods and work fine for that. They look like paddles you would use on a kids inflatable but the shafts are strong, the actual paddle part is made of flexible plastic and do flex a bit but for normal paddling they work fine. One thing to note is they are a little short, work fine for my boat but probably wouldn’t work for a larger row boat. ... show more

  • Get oars for your inner tube if going out on a lake etc.
Style: French Oar - 48in
I bought 2 intex inner tubes to use on a lake. I almost didn't buy oars until I saw another review mention that they were really helpful. I bought 2 single inner tubes that we connected as close together as we could. We each take a paddle and in a few minutes we reached the middle of the lake. These are great, we have used them full length and also tried them with just one piece of the pole on to make them shorter. Both ways worked perfectly and you can't beat the price. We have had a great time paddling around the lake in our inner tubes. ... show more

  • Good overall design, but paddles too flimsy
Style: French Oar - 48in
It is difficult to rate these paddles because part of them are worthy of 4-5 stars and part only 1-2 stars. The workmanship and the way that they assemble is very good. They stay together and the poles are sturdy. We even took them apart and made them into a kayak paddle (albeit a short one - it would be cool if they had included an additional connector section to enable making a regular length kayak paddle). That said, however, the yellow paddle part is flimsy and bends even with a child's use. Even with a fairly light stroke, the tips of the paddles bent backwards and flopped in the water, making paddling much less effective. They just weren't strong enough to stand up to any real use. They work fine for playing in the pool. ... show more

  • Nice oars ha!
Style: French Oar - 48in
Never thought I would be talking about my oars but here I am. They are actually a great quality, and my kids love using them with their inflatable boat, in the pool.

  • Great for kids
Style: French Oar - 48in
I bought these to for the kids to use with their giant Intex float in the swimming pool. They are perfect size for them to play around. I do not think they are sturdy enough for a river but playing in a lake or pool they are perfectly fine.
