I bought this as a replacement for my original Papasan chair base. My original was the lighter rattan colored the base got wet & cracked in storage. So I need a new base for my cushion. An Amazon is the only one who sells the base. Pier 1 discontinued this model I tried to look at Wayfair and overstock and they both said they didn’t have it and I have to buy a whole new chair. Bought this along with a 48" round cushion and it's been holding up well! The dark wood looks great and it's pretty sturdy. Just recommend sitting down slowly, as part of the wooden spiral (that holds the cushion) is thinner than the rest of the frame and could snap if someone throws themselves down into the seat with force. ... show more

    • Two separate pieces and they don’t fasten
I would not recommend this item. It comes in two pieces and they don’t fasten together. I contacted customer service and wanted to return. They messaged back saying they would let me keep it for $40. I replied saying I would keep it if I was really going to pay $40 (I thought maybe I could use zip ties for a sturdier situation). They just refunded me $40 so I paid $130 for a piece of junk. I do not feel safe in it. It feels like I could tip over or slide of the base any second. Poor execution on this design. They did give me the option to return but I had to pay shipping. I get that it’s a huge box and it costs them money to send it but I also don’t feel like it is my responsibility to pay for something that is not well-made. Hard pass. ... show more

desription matters!!! There is no color desription in the item's profile. The stock photo they provided is inaccurate. Ive posted 2 photos one is the same stock photo they used and the other is the actual color I was given. They want me to pay the return shipping because it's considered a "change of heart" return. That is not the case at all. I loved the chair its beautiful but I bought it to match my living space but also to match the same papasan i already have which is surprise surprise black, NOT brown. I ordered from this company. I had no problems. Everything is as described. Unfortunately, the dimensions of this chair did not fit or I intended to put it. When I decided to return it, I had to pay for the shipping. Label mind you this is a 42 inch chair the cost to ship it back to them is more than what the chair is worth. There was no way that this company would sent me a prepaid shipping label saying it’s my responsibility to pay for it mind you, I contacted them the same day.
