  • A productivity and gaming monster. Make sure your system BIOS is updated before purchasing.
0x12F (12F in hardware info) ^See that code? Make sure your Motherboard BIOS has that microcode for your CPU. It's the microcode that has the Vmin SHIFT instability fix. You NEED the BIOS version that has that microcode instruction. If not, your CPU will not last long. Also, be VERY CAREFUL buying any used 13th/14th Gen Intel CPU. As it's not readily apparent if the CPU sold to you has degraded. Keep ALL receipts. On to the product itself; This thing is a productivity monster. Cooling it can be a bit of a problem, but even without overclocking this CPU performs spectacularly right out of the box. I recommend this CPU over the rest of 14th gen intel to be honest with you. i9 runs too hot and generally not worth it. This cpu hits the sweetspot for performance and cooling. I recommend a good tower cooler like Noctua or Thermalright to cool this CPU properly. Anything under that will just not work well enough. On the AIO side, a 240mm can work, but a 360mm is recommended. I use this for Video Rendering and Gaming, and it crushes it on both of those tasks. ... show more

  • Fast and smooth!
I do a lot of AI generation and gaming (CPU intensive games like battlefield 6) it has ran like a dream. No stutters, no crashes, pairs amazingly with my 4080 Super! Stays very cool with my 360 AIO cooler, coming from a 12400kf it’s a night and day difference.

  • Intel good
I got this awhile ago when all the stuff and microcode Problems Intel was having but I updated the mobo and everything is working fine I also added a nice aio cooler and have no issues with my i7

  • Works fine
I upgraded my media center PC from a little over a year old AMD processor and system board. I wanted to finally get something other than my ancient 1030 video card in there for my 4k content. Ended up with an intel based system and a 5060 video card for my MKV's and such. Decided to go with the i7 just to make sure my media center was responsive. No issues. Works well, good speed and PC is snappy. ... show more

  • High TDP and Temperatures
A very powerful processor, but if it does not have good cooling, its functions will be limited. Currently it is working wonders together with the other components. But if they have a moderate cooling system, it is advisable to use the other brand of processors "AMD" that has half the temperatures, but with 10% to 20% less performance in some activities, and with the defects that come with not have an architecture that self-protects well or do not update its software often for better handling. Finally, I recommend the processor, only if you have a processor that does not meet current needs. My I7 6700k can do it all, but for some specific technologies, such as SSD Gen 4, peripherals with high-speed USB - C and others, it couldn't cope. ... show more

  • Great Product, I love intel.
Runs hot so get a good cpu cooler. Big value got this a year ago and is still running same as new. Fast and stable when overclocked.

  • Been a great processor. Just update bios and such.
Even with all the controversy, I haven't had any degradation or performance issues even with overclocks, and I've ran this CPU for many, many months now primarily for gaming. Just update the bios and ageasa on your mobo and you're good to go.

  • It's worth every penny @ $329
I got the 14700kf in Oct 2024 for $329. While I did want the AMD 9800x3d, it wasn't attainable. If it was available it was short lived and at a high $600+ price. I got a newer chip that was I'm assuming manufactured July of this year(2024). I could tell by reading the on the box code and figuring it out. So I dodged a degrading chip. I also have an extra 2 years warranty by Intel, a total of 5 years. That's really good!!!. Also, i got the latest and final microcode by intel before I even popped the chip into my MSI z790 board. So I'm good 👍. I bought a 360mm AIO by a reputable company in a big case with plenty of airflow. Temps stay at VERY good levels. 29° Celsius at idle and about 65c average while gaming Battlefield 2042 in ultra settings with an Rtx4080-Super. I'm using Gskill 6000mhz 30cl ram. Tighter timings with ddr5 rather than 6400 with looser timings for gaming. My 2024 cinebench scores are great and even higher than what others have with multicore. My single core score was just few points lower than others, but that might be because the ram speed isn't being tested with 7200mhz ram, i really don't know... But the only real gripe I have is Intel needs to figure out how to implement 3d CACHE into their chips to jump ahead of AMD again in gaming. They're years behind TSMC/AMD. So the die needs to get lower so the power consumption gets lower will too. If they can get that 3D cache on their chips, I'll 5star them all day and praise them. 👏 ... show more
