  • Solid Upgrade for Gaming and Multitasking
Style: Processor
As a software engineer and avid gamer, I recently upgraded to this for my new build, and I'm pretty impressed so far. Cyberpunk 2077 runs much smoother now, even with all the settings cranked up. Multitasking is a breeze; I can stream, game, and have multiple apps open without any noticeable lag. I haven't gotten deep into overclocking yet, but the initial results are promising. Thermals seem manageable with my current cooler, but I might invest in something beefier if I push it harder. It dropped right into my 700 series motherboard without any issues. For the price, it feels like a solid deal, especially considering the performance boost over my old CPU. I'm hoping this will keep my system relevant for a few years, and while it does draw more power, the performance gains are worth it for me. ... show more

  • Ridiculously fast at everything I've put it through.
Style: Processor
After a year of ownership I couldn't be happier choosing this Processor. It's speed and consistency has been great and I'm really happy I went with the KF in my case and won't be going any other way in the future. Temps have been controlled with an Artic II and in heavy testing holds almost perfectly at 100 C after heat soaking for 30 minutes in a H7 flow case. Have had no issues overall with any performance aspects in my use. Really the loading of games has been my biggest love of speed haha. Highly recommend and would build another PC with it. ... show more

  • Awesome CPU, but you might need an AIO
Style: Processor
Upgraded from an i3 12100F primarily to edit video and I'm very happy with the performance. Davinci Resolve was simply too much for the i3. With the i7, my render times dropped from an hour to 10 minutes and editing on the timeline is leaps and bounds smoother. Now the bad... When I swapped out the CPU, I kept my Cooler Master Hyper 212 120mm air cooler paired with the i7. For gaming, it was no problem. Temps averaged around 60c, which I could live with. When it came to rendering video however, temps would skyrocket to 100c and throttle. I ended up purchasing a Cooler Master Master Liquid 360L Core AIO and temps now average around 80c, sometimes peaking at 90c. Bottom line is that if you're going to be using this for CPU intensive tasks definitely pair this with an AIO. ... show more

  • A Good Processor
Style: Processor
Despite the problems that have been mentioned regarding the 13 and 14 series Intel processors I have had zero issues with this specific processor! Great performance for the money!

  • CPU
Style: Processor
The CPU has been great to me over the years that handles well, without issues. Video editing, gaming, and so on but recently my CPU was one of the ones that ran into that voltage issue that people are getting warranties on. When you're playing stuff like games or high-end editing (4K) it could sometimes freeze and crash and you would have to just start the program back up, so I started the warranty process with Intel and I'm in the process of having it replaced. Other it's still a great CPU, and Intel warranty process seems smooth. ... show more
