  • Worry Free and Easy to Install
I have some plants that are placed on a fairly high shelf and I have to get the ladder out to get to them, so I needed a system that could do some of the work for me. This is my first irrigation system and I was a bit intimidated, but once I started hooking it all up, it was incredibly easy. Timer works great, water pushed through easy and no leaks. I have my water bucket slightly below the first pot, and the hose goes up and then down and somewhat up again for a final pot on the end (which sits on a slightly higher shelf) and the water flows through no problem. There's another review that explains how it all works perfectly and I followed those suggestions as well as reading through all the instructions first. There is plenty of hose to do a lengthy setup. Mine had the 10 watering stakes at pretty much a foot to a foot and a half intervals. I also appreciate that I can manipulate the hose and its stakes so they are mostly unseen behind foliage (helps that its clear). When I wanted to test (after its full charge), I had the frequency on off, and just turned the knob to run for 1 minute - and it started immediately. Worked great. Now its on a timer and that seems to be doing its job too. I am incredibly happy with this!! I'm hoping to find a place to order more of the accessories, as I would like to add one more water dripper (sorry forgot the real names of the pieces) or two. Overall, easy to use and understand. ... show more

  • Easy to set up
Very simple to use and it works

  • Simple and solid product for the price.
For the price it works with nice rechargeablity. It is not fancy and the instructions can be improved with better description, diagram, and presentation. The fact that this item is priced significantly less than others and it can be recharged is a plus. It did take a while to charge up but it has been over a week and I have not recharged it and still running fine. It is also water resistant and held well with the rain, I got another brand and it was not water resistant so I decided to just put both in ziplock bag covers for my sanity. ... show more

  • Great setup
I've had this set up for about four weeks and I've had no issues with it, especially considering the low price. For context, I have a ~6ft wide balcony without a hose hookup and six plants in pots of various sizes. They seem happy and therefore so am I. Pros: - 10 tees and watering spikes was perfect for me - I put two in each of the big pots (~13in diameter) and one in each smaller pot, and had a spare in case I broke anything. I had more than enough PVC tubing, which was a relief. I strongly recommend sketching out a diagram before you start cutting your lines, as the connections are hard to get back out of the tubing (this is probably good for watering purposes but annoying if you make a mistake!). - It charges via micro-USB port and there's a microUSB-to-USB cord included. I charged it fully prior to installation and that lasted two weeks of twice-daily 3-minute watering, and might have gone longer, but I decided to charge it again just in case. - The five pages of instructions (attached) were pretty clear. It said the output of the system is 200 ml/min, and when I tested it right out of the unit I got a little more than that, which was encouraging (& once you have a system in place you'll have some loss so it probably is effectively 200 ml/min). I had 9 connections so that comes out at about a half cup per watering stake every 6 minutes, which seemed like it was about right based on how my plants look. I didn't even have to elevate the unit above the plants, as it has an included one-way valve and enough pressure to water plants up to 1m above the pump - a big plus for me! Other considerations (but not drawbacks, really): - If you have a larger garden, you'll need more connections and stakes that fit. It says the tubes have an inner diameter of 3.8mm, if that helps. - The watering stakes look kind of gimmicky but they do appear to work. You do need to set them up straight or the water will drip out the side and not get guided into the soil. - If you want to charge it from a wall socket, you will need to dig out your own USB to wall socket converter (or an old microUSB phone charger). I have a couple laying around so this wasn't an issue for me. - For instructions, the only thing I stumbled over (until I read them through again) was that, if you're using the timer, it'll start that many hours *after* you set it - so it won't run immediately if you set it for any future frequency. The first time, I set my alarm for 12 hours after setting it up, and lo and behold, the system was running, so I was happy. It would certainly be easier to use if there was some kind of display, but then it probably wouldn't be so small and cheap. - Like most things, it gets hot in the sun. I'm not sure if this affects performance - it hasn't seemed to yet - but if yours is going to be somewhere super exposed, you may want to shade it and/or protect it from rain. It says it's water-resistant, but mine is in a covered corner and I haven't needed to test this yet. - I haven't tested the delay feature as it seemed a little complicated, but I have no reason to expect it wouldn't work. ... show more

  • Junk don't buy!!!!
Not very dependable. It doesn't seem like it runs on the timer like it should The water level in my reservoir really isn't going down like it should. Almost killed my broccoli plant when I was on holiday. Updating to one star, timer has a mind of its own and doesn't run half the time putting your plants at risk! I've tried everything to get the timer to work consistently but it just doesn't sometimes it runs but most of times it doesn't and I have the weeping plants to prove it! Horrible junk don't buy!!! ... show more

  • Didn't work for Me
I had a string of 9 plants I wanted to be watered automatically. This would not get water to the last plants. There was no lifting of the water as the reservoir was on the same level. The pump was not powerful enough to get water to the nozzles. It comes with a one-way valve to avoid suction flooding your plants when the pump is off.. IT charged and its relatively easy to program. I just went w an aquarium pump and stand alone digital timer, just 10 seconds until all the plants are watered. ITs not pretty but it works well. ... show more

  • In a word, awesome...
I bought this to water the plants on my back porch when I travel. I have yet to disconnect it since coming home, and my plants have literally never looked better. Upon further reflection, I realized that this system (hoses that intermittently terminate into plastic spikes that drip water into the soil below the surface) is very similar to the one used in commercial greenhouses. For the price I kind of expected cheaper materials and manufacturing, but everything seems to be of very high-quality. I appreciate the analog controls because they're simple and seem quite durable. A single USB charge has lasted more than two weeks, and I expect it would last a few more (I have it set to pump for 7 minutes every 24 hours). ... show more

  • Great system, handling and recharging is a mess.
I'm using it outdoors, works pretty well. in order to recharge it you need to remove it, open the plug which is not that easy and recharge.
