I've had air fryers for several years now and can't imagine not having one (or two). I've used several brands and was fairly committed to the Corsori brand, but when the last one failed after about 2 years I decided to look at a different brand and settled on this one. I do believe the fan in this unit is more powerful than in the Corsori that I had. I love the square basket and that was a deciding factor for me (the Corsoris have the square baskets as well). This is a basic unit but certainly serves the purpose of an air fryer. I like the controls on this unit and having 5 degree increments for the temp is a nice feature. The only negative I would add is the always-on pre-heat. I do wish that was an option rather than a 'feature,' but I've learned t live with it. Only time will tell how well this will hold up. I do use an air fryer probably 3 - 4 times a week at least. A big negative for me is the customer service. The manual specifically states that the basket is not dishwasher safe, but yet the description here on Amazon states that it is. I sent an email inquiring about this and the response was anything except helpful. They referred to the rotisserie being dishwasher safe and some other feature that isn't even a part of this model. So, they obviously just saw 'dishwasher' and didn't bother to read that I specifically mentioned this model. Looking thru some of the questions and answers here on Amazon it looks like at some point a representative from Instant Pot did reply to that question and stated that further testing had determined that the basket and insert tray are both dishwasher safe. And I've ran them both thru the dishwasher several times in the time that I've had this unit with no problem. ... show more

I use this air fryer so much now that I have my first one. I was super glad I read the reviews as they mentioned a plastic smell when you first run it. Some people recommended running it without food a few cycles and I sure am glad I did. In my opinion it is a MUST that you run it about 4-5 cycles without food and be prepared for the area to smell like overpowered plastic for a while. It would probably been better if I sprayed the tray with cooking oil in retrospect. It took about two days for the plastic smell to go away in the room itself but did not affect the food smell or taste at all when I finally cooked with it. The basket has a tray with silicone bits that keep it in place. These silicone bits can be removed for cleaning which was glad to see. I started using parchment liners which makes clean up easier but it was pretty easy to clean already. Having this air fryer makes my microwave lonely I think, ha! I've used it to cook entire meals down to quick crisp touch up of french fries. I believe the only thing I don't like is all the beeping it does. It beeps for warm up which is not optional and it beeps half way through cooking for flipping. The warm up process takes about 2-3 minutes. I wish there was a setting to turn off beeping but its not a deal breaker of course. The size is great as well. It's about the size of a small bucket. It sits next to my Keurig like I have two little star wars drones working for me, lol. I am really glad I got this one as my first air fryer! ... show more

Why is FLAVOR of this item on the rating list? Do they think we're EATING the plastic off the sides?! (IDK what this product tastes like, but I gave it 5 stars on flavor anyway.) Well I was nervous about using this, after so many videos on air-fryers catching fire or blowing up - but so far so good! Really simple to use, mid-sized kids can use it & lots of safety features like timers are helpful. ... show more
