  • Definitely worth the price and happy with my purchase
Size: Medium Color: White
Expensive, but worth it for the quality that it is. We've now been using this for about 7 months and it's held up really well. Simple and easy to use by just clamping on our computer desk. We bought an expensive microphone to attach to it and it's been perfect at doing it's job.

  • Durable, easy to install and wonderful for podcast or zoom meetings
Size: Medium Color: Black
Easy to install, works well, specially for podcast or any zoom meeting. I was also able to place my microphone on it and looks beautiful. Very happy and satisfied with this product.

  • A really good option for an entry level boom arm
Size: Medium Color: Black
I picked up this arm the other day to help get my desk clean of the standing mic I had taking up valuable surface real estate. I looked at things like the Rode PSA1 which seems to be one of the more "standard" options at this point, but I'm not a podcaster, I just need a good setup for work meetings, gaming, and anything else I might need--but this is for home use, not a studio. Out of the box, the setup is very easy--it's mostly assembled, and all you need to do is attach the clamp to your desk or tabletop, pop in the actual arm itself, and attach your mic. For attachment, it does come with a thread adapter as well as an angled clip, but I didn't use either of these since I had another option for those already. They seem fine and straightforward, I'm not sure if more can really be said about them. The package also includes some teflon tape. I'm not sure how valuable this is. I noticed my mic was slipping a little and getting unscrewed easily, so I applied it, and things are a little more snug, but I honestly don't think it made much real difference. That said, it's a nice inclusion since the fit might not be perfect. The arm is easy to adjust, it holds in place even with a medium weight microphone. Running my XLR cable was fine, and made easier by the included 5 hook and loop fasteners. I do have a couple of little quirks with this arm that I'm still getting used to a little bit. One, it seems to wobble quite a bit when I type on the keyboard, even though it should be decoupled at least somewhat by distance from the surface. It's not a huge problem, and I am a heavy typist, so this is probably more my fault than anything, but it is noticeable. The only thing I need beyond that is to have a ball head on this mount point--it it a bit obnoxious that I can only rotate it one way, at the end. This happens to work okay for my mic setup, because I happen to angle it perpendicular to the way I want to point the mic. It would be nice if I could angle the mic up from its position, though. All in all, it's really hard to find too much fault with this thing for the price. I couldn't really expect much more from this price point. It may not last forever, but if I run into issues like that I'll upgrade when it makes sense. For now this is a solid entry level option for my needs. ... show more

  • Versatile, flexible, and sturdy
Size: Medium Color: Black
I really appreciate the lengths the manufacturer went to ensure that the boom mic stand will work. For instance, some Blue Yeti microphones may be slightly larger than the threading. So to combat this, they provide PTFE thread tape to help fill the gap. They also provide a dynamic mic holder if your microphone is not going to directly mount to the mic stand. They provide a thread adapter for 3/8" to 5/8" depending on what your microphone may need. They also provide Velcro (hook and loop) cable ties to help keep things tidy. They really go above and beyond to make sure that you have everything you need, all while being very budget friendly. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Not the strongest, but does the job without issues!
Size: Medium Color: Black
It works and gets the job done. It’s not the strongest microphone arm there is out there, but it is sturdy enough to keep our mics on without issues. It’s compartible with our Rode Podmic. Very happy with our purchase. We bought one mic arm in black and one in white. (I also swapped out my black mic for white mic) pic reflects the comparison. ... show more

  • Great price, but small and short. NOT a professional mic boom/arm.
Size: Medium Color: Black
This review is for the verbosely named: "InnoGear Microphone Arm, Upgraded Mic Arm Microphone Stand Boom Suspension Stand". Say that three times fast! :-) CRED: I have been in the Radio/TV broadcast industry for 30+ years, so I have worked with many types and brands of mic booms, microphones and audio equipment in general. PROS: It's cheap! I paid $13.50 for this boom which is a crazy low price for what you get. It comes with a decent desk clamp, the pre-assembled arm, a generic mic clip (which is basically worthless) and an essential, chrome metal adapter for real microphones. Given how small and light it is, I wasn't expecting it to hold my heavy Shure Super 55, but it did with no issue. CONS: The first thing you should know, is that this boom is SMALL..the pictures are deceiving. It's a "Baby Boom" as we say in the business. A standard, microphone boom arm that you might get from Broadcast Supply (BSW) is going to give you 40" of reach, bare minimum...most are 45" or more and cost anywhere from $50-$350 depending on brand. The reach on this mic boom is a short 28" from base to mount. Why are the others so big? The whole idea of a mic boom is to keep everything away from the action and clear up desk space. Away from your hands, your monitors, etc. Generally you mount the boom arm in the rear corner of the desk and it reaches up and over your monitors from behind. Since the reach on this mic boom is only 28", unless you have a very small desk you are going to have to clamp the stand on the front edge of your desk, close to you. This kind of defeats the whole purpose of having a mic boom in the first place. The microphone clip that comes with it is the basic, generic clip type, only good for a standard "stick" type mic like a classic EV-635A or Shure SM57. If you are using a popular SM58 or larger you will want to use the clip that came with the mic, not this one. A bonus is that the included clip came with a second, black plastic tread adapter already screwed in. It was easily removable, so score! A second free adapter. The really strange thing, is that inside the box I found a full 10 meter roll of PTFE Teflon Tape. The kind you use on plumbing threads to ensure they don't leak. There is no mention of this on Amazon or on the box itself, so I am not sure if it was intentional, an Amazon mistake or I got a return from a singing plumber. It wasn't needed for any of the mic boom threads, so I will use it next time I do some plumbing around the house. SUMMARY: If you are a home user with a limited budget, you cant go wrong with this boom arm. The price is incredible and it appears decently made. If you have a small work space it might work fine as long as you don't mind its very limited reach. If you are looking for a professional, broadcast quality microphone boom like you might see in a radio station control room, look elsewhere. This isn't it. ... show more
