This was my very first project using the NBX-5040. I've never used a CNC before and still have a lot to learn, but this machine is wonderful. Took all my newbee mistakes and powered through like a champ. Super sturdy construction, and it's heavy, no movement or rocking while doing deep pockets. The rails slide nicely, no binding. It comes with the Z probe, which is super helpful and bits to get you started. Also the spindle that comes with it is better than the routers that other CNC machines say to replace their spindle with. Overall, I'm loving my NymoLabs CNC. Forgot to mention, quick shipping (I got it 2 days earlier than expected), and a great support team who responded to my email sooner than I expected.

Quite a learning curve but very interesting Machine seems to be well built the nbx 5040 was exactly what I was looking for Heavy duty spindle with er collets does excellent job Good for hobby machine or maybe more?

The box, containing the CNC, was received undamaged and within the stated delivery time period. The CNC was undamaged and appears to be of good quality. All the parts, accessories, instructions, etc... were present. The instructions were fairly clear, and, the CNC went together rather quickly. It runs great, however, I have two issues with it. On the clamps, the T-Nuts had burrs on the edges, so, they would not fit into the T-Tracks, or were very tight & difficult to move / slide once they were in. I had to file & sand down the burrs. The other issue is with the gantry. It is not level from left to right. It is about 1 degree higher on the right side, which causes uneven engraving / cutting. It is barely noticeable on the left side, but, the farther to right (beyond the halfway point) the router travels, the more noticeable the difference becomes. If it wasn't for these two issues, I would have given this CNC a 5-Star rating.

Stepped into the CNC world a few months ago and after doing extensive research, ordered the 5040. Assembly was a breeze and this thing is SOLID ! Extremely sturdy and quite heavy. Customer service is strong and they show pride in what they do. Very precise with carving too.
