  • It doesn't come with the adapter that connects the hyperquadcast microphone -- ordered separately...
This is an excellent arm. I'm glad I bought it; I think so far it works great. However, my hyperquadcast microphone doesn't connect to this boom arm microphone holder: it needs something called an adapter, so long story short, I go back to amazon to order an adapter to do just this. This adapter connects the hyperquadcast microphone to the boom arm, I think it's also called the 5/8 inch adapter for microphone to boom arm. This adapter was the only thing keeping me from connecting the microphone to the boom arm. I totally like this boom arm but I had to at the end of the day order the adapter from amazon for around $15 extra. If you don't want to order this separately, order it together is your best bet.. If it mentioned the adapter I would have given a definite -- by far -- a 5 star rating. I like this product and would buy it again however you should know if you don't need, or need, an adapter separately, for your particular microphone, if it applies. I decided to give it a 5 star rating because it looks and feels really well, stylish and good looking; it's a good microphone holder so I changed the rating from 4 stars to 5 stars. ... show more

  • This thing feels strong!
Pretty impressed with this mic stand. Last one I got felt cheap and not built with any quality. We added an office to our workshop and I placed my second computer out there. Needed this to help work with the space a little better than my floor-stand type of mic holder. Love the way you can hide the wires into stand itself. Keeps it looking neat. I do a lot of video recording for content and this looks and works great with my setup. Fantastic purchase. Glad I wasn't cheap and got something else to save money. There is the possibility that I would buy a second one and update my home office with it. I will give this a long term test and see how much I like it. But so far, so good! ... show more

  • Too well-made
This is a really well-made microphone arm, far better than the one I had previous. I especially like the cable managing sleeves that are included to hide the microphone cable. But this thing is just TOO stiff. I'm glad it's not flimsy, but when my entire desk flexes just trying to pull it towards my face that's almost an equal and opposite problem. I'm sure there's a way to loosen it up, but trying to do so myself produced less than helpful results. Either way still a great, functional arm. Just be wary that if you're desk is made of particle board you may just snap it in half trying to move this thing around. ... show more

  • Great boom for the $$$
These are pretty compact microphone boom arms not quite long enough to mount on the back of your desk and drape over your computer if you are a streamer. I don’t use them for that anyways, I use them for a podcast. They look great, and I like the cable management on the top of the arm! They are a bit stiff upon arrival but using the Alan key that is provided, you can loosen them up a bit and over time I’m sure they will become much more malleable. Anyone that is looking for a boom arm like this and doesn’t want to spend an arm and a leg, these are great I would definitely recommend. ... show more

  • Solid construction
This boom does a great job of holding the mic in the desired location while also allowing me to make small adjustments without great effort or throwing off my whole setup.

  • Super sturdy. Great cable management.
I got this holding up my Shure MV7 mic. It works great. I really like the feature where you can hide your cables. It makes video calls look much cleaner and put together. Definitely recommend.

  • Worth it!
Started out very stiff, but after a month of use it's easier to maneuver while still keeping the position I leave it in. The clamp is easy to tighten and stays in place. I like that it has little covers to hide the cable. Bonus points for not having a logo printed on it. It's 100% worth it.

  • Great intro boom arm
Got this after recording my first podcast and hearing all the vibration sound that was coming through the desk mic. This eliminated almost all of it. Super easy to install, and the cord management is a great touch. My only complaint is that the opening at the bottom, right at the mount, is too small for the USB connection to fit through, so you have to run the mic cord around the mount instead of through it. Hurts my cord management aesthetic eye, but doesn't hurt how it works at all. ... show more
