  • Couldn't save my failing streaming career, but it holds mics real well.
Alright, picture this; you're just starting to explode on Twitch, almost to affiliate status, and you hit a sort of plateau and you think "bro, what gives, do I sound like crap?" The answer is either, yes, you do sound like crap, or you look like crap. Since this is a mic stand review, we'll focus on sounding like crap. This mic stand does a GREAT job, and I mean it, as mine easily holds a Blue Yeti condenser mic up close to my silly face while it sits on my desk right in front of me. As you all know, it is CRITICAL that a mic be close to you so it can capture all your low voiced goodness and make you sound like a full blown alpha in your streams. This mic stand absolutely does this. But, at no real fault of this product, I have given up on streaming and now just fix iPhones for scraps. RIP me. ... show more

  • Holds the mic up, doesn't tip over.
I do sound for a lot of commitee mmeetings. Most of these tabletop stands are either too short to allow the person talking to get close enough to the mic or they fall over from the weight of the mic when you try to adjust it properly. This one allows the talker to get close to the mic and the stand still stays upright. Great tabletop mic stand. A bit heavy and bulky, but that's what it takes to do it right. I just hope the threadscrew on the boom arm doesn't go bad after awhile. ... show more

  • Sturdy, but missing a couple things...
I'm going to start by saying that this is not a bad piece of kit, and I won't be returning it. It's built plenty sturdy enough for what it is, and it does do its job just fine, however, it's missing one thing that can get annoying sometimes: a way to stop the boom from sliding and to lock it in place. This would permit you to lock the boom at a set distance, and also maybe stop it from rotating. It seems like a trivial feature to add, and kind of an oversight not to have it. Other than that, it does what I ask of it; nothing less than I would have expected given the price. Just loses a single star for a missing QOL feature. ... show more

  • Cat incident
If you have a cat, DONT GET THIS, it’s not heavy enough if you also have a semi-heavy mic also. Literally 5 mins ago my cat knocked it over onto my foot. Not heavy enough to stop a cat from doing that either.

  • Great stand
This can hold surprisingly heavy mics. This also is pretty sturdy and long as the mic sits relatively close to the base

  • Can't handle weight at full length
Overall, this stand is a decent desktop microphone stand. It is very sturdy and will not tip over if you use it properly; microphone facing the direction of the weight. It is also very easy to adjust the height and length of the stand. It also conveniently comes cable holders to ensure you have an easier time managing those. The main problem I have with this stand however, is that it can not handle the weight of my mic at the stand's full length (see pic). After about 20 minutes of use, I will notice it is at half the height of what I originally set it at. I also make sure to tighten that joint to the best of my ability but the problem still occurs. I can only stop it my changing the length to a little over the halfway point. My microphone (AT2020) weighs 1.32 lbs for reference. This is something that would make my work a lot more convenient so I am lowering my rating due to this. ... show more
