  • Solid piece of gear. Worth every penny.
Color: Black Size: Medium Number of Items: 1
Awesome addition to my ham shack. Mic mounts easy and can be adjusted to just the right spot. Can quickly move the mic out of the way when needed. Base is heavy enough the be stable between +/- 75 degrees from the base centerline even at full extension.

  • Solid little stand for the price — does exactly what it says
Color: Black Size: Medium Number of Items: 1
Picked this up to use with my Blue Yeti and couldn't be happier with it for the money. The weighted base is heavier than I expected, which is a good thing — it doesn't slide or tip even when the boom arm is fully extended. The twist clutch locks down tight and holds position without creeping over time. The boom arm gives you a lot of flexibility for positioning, and the 5/8" to 3/8" adapter included in the box is a nice touch. Setup took maybe five minutes with no tools needed. My only minor gripe is that the height range on the vertical pole is a bit limited if you're sitting tall at a desk, but for standard seated use at a normal desk height it's perfectly fine. For the price point, this is hard to beat — I've seen flimsier stands sell for twice as much. Would recommend to anyone setting up a home studio, podcast rig, or even just for gaming/streaming. Sturdy, functional, and won't break the bank. ... show more

  • Excellent for the price!

I have some more expensive products like this. They're not as well built as the Gator, which costs twice as much. For the price these are excellent. For studio use, these are excellent.

  • Good product with minor
Color: Black Size: Medium Number of Items: 1
You can freely swivel the arm, it's good and stiff but not to stiff, it stays in place where you want it. The base is nice and heavy. You can't swivel the arm to the side otherwise it will tip over though, at least with a blue yeti it will. It doesn't give no indication of that on the product page, but it says to keep the arm over the base in the manual (just a heads up). And with that being the case, to get the microphone out of the way you have to either turn the whole thing, base and all, or you can raise the arm up or slide it back. But if you slide it back you have to have room behind the microphone, so for instance, no wall. As for the measurements, the pictures indicate a 17" arm, but realistically you have only about 5 1/2" fully extended (Pic). With my Blue Yeti I have about 13" altogether. So just measure how tall/long your microphone is and add 5 1/2". This is because of the base itself and how far back the base of the arm is. The arm has a little wiggle room, so if you where to raise it up, it will tilt down slightly, not a big deal but just for the OCDer's out there, you will notice a slight tilt (Pic). One more thing to note, after waking up in the morning I noticed it had dropped slightly. So I don't know if this will worsen in the future, but I will update my review if it does. All in all, I'm happy with the purchase. It got it for my son and he loves it. You don't have an arm in front of your face blocking your screen while gaming. It stays at mouth level (or wherever you want it). It has clips to keep the wires out of the way. 4 stars because of all the little things that I notice but my son doesn't (ha). ... show more

  • Non standard threads.
Color: Black Size: Medium Number of Items: 1
The base plate is nice and heavy 5 lbs is the advertised weight. Plus its asymmetrical shape (longer in front) is great for stabilizing. Although with the boom fully extended and a heavy mic, such as a Rode NT1 it's still a bit precarious. A slight bump will cause it to tip. The boom adjustment is friction, so again, with a heavy load on the end it will, over time, overcome whatever angle you had it set to. This product was not meant for heavy loads, despite its heavy base. My biggest issue if that threads for the boom to riser and for the mic holder to boom are non standard. An adapter is provided, but it's smaller and will not fit other standard products (like on stage) without the adapter. For my application, I found it best to use the onstage posi-lok mini mic boom with the supplied adapter. The onstage short boom has the standard size threads for the mic holder. With a standard Shure style mic I don't see any of this being an issue. ... show more
