  • Flawless Prints So Far
Color: Luminous Size: 1.75mm
Being somewhat obsessed with glow-in-the-dark things, I've really limited myself to luminous filaments. I've struggled through rolls of Hatchbox for years assuming I was just not getting my print settings right (temperatures and flow too low or high, bed not leveled adequately, wrong speed, nozzle erosion, etc.). I had success with non-GITD filaments, but what's the fun in that? I found the Inland Luminous for a good deal and decided to try it on a whim. I half-heartedly removed my mostly full roll of Hatchbox - which had only given me a few good, small prints, and otherwise just clogged my Ender 3 Pro - and loaded the Inland. I heated and leveled the bed and then started to print some drawers for the E3P I had previously sliced. The first thing I noticed was, even without perfect leveling, adhesion on the magnetic printing mat was great. I had some low spots that I tweaked as the print was running, and the first layer was able to gloss over any missed paths in the brim and complete a nice first layer. Around this time the Hatchbox would typically clog (or a few layers in, after the print looked like it was going to work), so I didn't have much hope, but I stepped away and let the print continue on. A few layers later, the print was looking fantastic, no stringing, no clogging, the infill looked flawless (Hatchbox would frequently leave non-continuous lines in the thin infill sections), the vertical walls had no obvious issues. I left the print go and it turned out perfect. I've seen this before, however, and know that just when I think I have everything tuned in, the printer will remind me who's really in charge. Nope, not this time. Second drawer - perfect. Drawer frame - perfect. Tiny battery holder I had designed - perfect. I downloaded a bunch of things I had been putting off printing because I knew they'd be a pain - all perfect. 2 minute prints, 20 hour prints, everything I've tried has just worked. Not only that, but the glow! The glow is much, much brighter than Hatchbox. The ghostly, milky, off-white color when in light subtly hints that if you're lucky, the object might glow (in the dark). When taken out of the light, even with minimal light exposure and 20% infill, the glow is deep and bright. I've read reviews about other filaments that are brighter but at the time the Inland was what I could find and it does not disappoint. If there truly are brighter GITD filaments, they would have to print as well as this roll has. I haven't had this roll long enough to know how abrasive it is to a brass nozzle. While not completely smooth, the Inland is significantly smoother than Hatchbox which feels like it could double as sandpaper thread. Only time will tell, but after around 30 hours of prints, any nozzle erosion has not been noticeable. My initial impression of the Inland Luminous PLA is that its the unicorn GITD filament I've been looking for. The only downside is that I'm going to be going through a lot of it since I am spending much less time on printer maintenance and much more time actually printing things. ... show more

  • Great in an Ender 3 Pro
Color: Black Size: 1.75mm
I've printed through more than half of this roll. It's been working great.

  • Not the color i expected but works in multiple ways.
Color: Orange Size: 1.75mm
I got this filament cause i was doing an 8-bit fire and this was suppose to be the center of the fire. Well its orange. Fluorescent orange. It worked ok for what i was doing. But i will say if you want to print something mushroom like. And put it under a blacklight it will show up really well I am in no way dissapointed in This style filament. Its not what i wanted but im not complaining it gavee more ideas of what to print ... show more

  • Prints great every time. Not a fan of the new cardboard spool.
Color: Black Size: 1.75mm
This filament is a workhorse and we have gone through several spools. The most recent spool we received is cardboard instead of plastic. This works fine on our Ender 3 and Sunlu S8 that have spool holder arms that hold the spool from the i.d. but it's not working well on our Prusa Mini which has a roller spool holder that the o.d. of the spool rests on. The reason its not working well is the cardboard is slightly bent in varioius spots toward the edge which does not allow the spool to rest level on the rollers. I think I know why they changed to cardboard which mostly makes sense but with the Prusa Mini, it's not good. After the current print, I will try to straighten as much as possible but fear it will never be right. Please go back to the plastic spool or offer both options. ... show more

  • Great inexpensive filament
Color: Black Size: 1.75mm
I am fortunate enough to get this at a MicroCenter retail store, but sometimes the stock runs dry. I have never had any complaints about the dozens of spools of filament I have bought from this brand.

  • This brand has worked really good on all my prints!
Color: Light Brown Size: 1.75mm
I don't know what all the low ratings and problems are all about, but for me, I have purchased 3 rolls so far, and I have to say 98% of my prints have been just perfect! The ones that didn't come out perfect is mainly because on my print settings, and bed temp, which have made my prints shrink on corners. So can't say the filament has problems. I have printed about 12 houses from Thingiverse's Ulvheim Houses by Code2, and all floors have come out great! Detail are great as well. Seem to work best for me with an initial nozzle temp of 225c, and then 220c, heated bed at initial temp of 65c, then 60c, using Creality Ender 3 Max. ... show more
