  • One of the best values on filament around!
Very happy to see Microcenter selling their filament directly through Amazon! I have had very good luck with Inland filament, and this roll has been spot on! This particular Black is fairly glossy. The Inland PETG is easy to print, and produces fantastic results. PETG is a fantastic material, but is a bit finicky if your printer isn't up to snuff. On lower end machines like the Wanhao i3, or Maker Selects, speed will need to be reduced, and some fiddling will be required to fight stringing. But on more advanced machines like the Prusa MK3, PETG prints almost exactly the same as PLA, just hotter. You will have to have a heated build plate. It will stick fine to Build Tack, PEI, and even glass. It adheres to glass fantastically, just give it time to cool, and then it will slide right off. PEI however, needs to be hot to get it off. PETG is likely to eat a chunk of the PEI if removed cold. ... show more

  • Prints well dimensionally and almost no stringing!
The Inland Translucent Red Petg is simply great. The picture shows a wonderful mechanical assembled Ironman Sdcard holder and the amazing Stagroot model. You can find the models on Yeggi or Thangs. The Ironman print requires precision dimensions for assembly, and I got exactly that from this filent. I experienced no issues with 230-240C nozzle and 80-85C bed settings. Same experience for the Stagroot, only it printed with no supports and several overhangs while maintaining virtually no stringing. I highly recommend it. Machine used was Prusa Mk3s+, but I think with a direct drive setup most would have a similar experience. Note, I did use a gluestick for best bed adhesion, and all settings were from prusa slicer generic petg filament. ... show more

  • Good cheap petg
This is the first pet g filament I’ve printed with using an ender 3 s1 I had difficulty with bed adhesion at first however this may be due to the nature of Petg, once I got past the first layer it printed perfectly, I had to print at 230c nozzle and 78 bed temp, did not experience any warping. The final print came out perfect with no issues. This filament works for what you pay for and I would purchase this again. ... show more

  • good product but the diameter is small.
First time printing with PETG and its like how people describe. its stringy and needs to be printed a little slower than normal. retraction settings need to be finely adjusted as its not as forgiving as PLA. All things that have to do with the type of plastic and not the maker of the product. I found that the listed temps on the materiel are a little high. I started in the middle of the temp range and found it to be way too runny gave bad results. working my way down I found 130' to be just about right. (the lowest operating temp they specified) I am tempted to go even lower but I'm afraid lamination strength could suffer and that the manufacturer may know best. The filament has no tangles and I've had no problems with jams or feeding. the 1.75 mm with little tolerance is incorrect. I find the detentions do not change much across the length of the filament. better than other filaments I have used. but it is consistently a fair amount smaller in diameter than what it as sold by. 1.62mm some would consider this unacceptable. ... show more

  • Amazing PETG performance
Not perfectly wound but don't let go of the end and you'll be fine. I have been printing with some old Amazon PETG and an unknown brand so I am used to having to deal with stringing. I just put a roll of this on for the first time, and wow! I am printing with an MK3S+, using Prusa slicer 2.6.0 alpha 6 with the defaults for Generic PETG. Other than the beautiful blue color that is dark but translucent, I wouldn't have known this is PETG. No stringing in a print in place jointed model. Fantastic. I can't wait to play with the temps and see what variation in color/translucentness there is. I would (am going to) buy this again and I would recommend it without hesitation. ... show more

  • Great, made many functional parts out of this without any issues.
Love this material and brand! Perfect for functional parts. Great adhesion and no print problems to speak of!

  • Good stuff
Used with a Prusa mk3s. 235-240c - Nozzle temp 85c-90c - Bed temp 0.3 - layer height 40-60 - mm/s speed for walls 0.84 Extrusion Multiplier = 0.5 wall 0.21 support gap These are my settings for functional prints. I needed to set my extrusion multiplier to 0.84 to achieve 0.5 extrusion width (1 perimeter). Best overall temp for strength, shine was 240c. Best temp for support removal was 230c. Best bed temp was 90c. Lower bed temps some parts warped. Once tuned this filament is great, especially for the price. ... show more

  • Poor print quality, stay away
I've had good luck with Duramic's PLA, but their PETG is inconsistent. Prints will have random blemishes where the plastic curls up. I've dried the filament and printed a temp tower to dial in the settings. It just doesn't print well. PETG from other brands print just fine.
