This little thing is perfect for beginners, I've been using it for small tattoos and I love it! it comes with 2 batteries so if you are using one and it runs out of battery you can just use the other one and keep going. This is a nice lightweight tattooing gun that would be great for a beginner or practicing your art. I've never done an actual tattoo but I have used this and a few other guns and practice skins and this one is very similar to others I have used in terms of the outcome. I am learning how to apply permanent make up and this is the first tattoo gun that I have owned. I chose this model because it is cordless with a 10W motor and comes with a case and an extra battery. I figured this would be a good option to start out with. I also ordered synthetic skin to practice on along with a bottle of Tina Davies Ink in Bold Brown and an extra set of INKCHUM IR25MM cartridge needles. There is an instructional insert that comes with the tattoo gun however, the instructions do not include the steps for attaching the needle cartridges. It was easy to figure that part out though. Just place the cartridge in the bottom hole of the device and twist it until it is secured. The tattoo gun itself is slim and lightweight and feels comfortable in my hand. The voltage on the pen can be adjusted between a range of 4 to 12 volts. After practicing using the fake skin, I decided to put a new cartridge on the tattoo gun to touch up a decorative mole that I had done a long time ago that was faded. Really an elegant permanent makeup/tattoo pen. Very nicely made, and comes with a second battery, and an adapter to use an AC power supply. This pen has a very slim profile, and may not be what many tattooists are accustomed to. However, this is an excellent choice for fine, highly detailed line work. It can easily push single needle cartridges... in fact, it was designed for just that. The machine runs very smoothly throughout it's range, though there is some vibration at higher voltages, as one would expect given the thin size and lighter weight. The batteries are both excellent, and easy to read with their digital LED readouts. Adjustment is very easy, as well. This is a great kit, and even comes with a quality zippered travel case. The grip is excellent, as well, and you can make it thicker (if desired) by using grip tape, or a combination of grip tape and folded paper towels. Comes with a single tattoo needle cartridge.
