Bought this to use with a wired doorbell. I live in a house that does not have doorbell wires and I got frustrated and tired of battery powered doorbells. I’ve used a ring battery powered doorbell and an Arlo battery powered doorbell and the issue with those is that I had to replace and charge the batteries often and it takes a long time to load live view. Problem solved with the HomeKit Logitech circle view doorbell. Instant live view and great clarity. Couldn’t have done it without this product. Installation was simple. Drill a small hole through the wall, feed the wire through, install doorbell, and cable manage the other end and plug it in. I got my new wired doorbell hooked up and powered up in under 10 minutes. Price was great and left plenty of leftover cable, you can always cut the wires shorter if you need to but it’s nice to have the extra available. ... show more

Update, I'm an idiot! I was testing for DC voltage and should be have been testing for AC! My multimeter registers 26.2 VAC. Original review: This is my third different transformer from three different sellers. First two were not UL listed, so I ordered this one to give it a try. Didn't bother running the wire from the plug to the doorbell, just hooked it up at my desk. Plugged it in and attached my multimeter to the wires. Multimeter reads a fluctuating voltage between .03 and -.01 VDC. Went ahead and attached to the doorbell and achieved the same reading. I decided to do an exchange this time and hopefully I can update this review when I get the new one in a couple days... We'll see! ... show more

Super easy to install my Ring doorbell with this! Only 'special' tool needed for my specific installation was a super long drill bit to drill a hole through to the outside of wall.
