This little hair dryer packs a punch! Love the small size, durability, and ease of use. It has multiple heat settings as well as speed. I find that it dries my hair quickly and does not have a burning smell. That’s great! It’s easy to curly your hair when you use this dryer with a styling brush. The length of the cord is doable. I have purchased a number of hair dryers but this one fits my needs the BEST. I needed (1) Travel size, (2) good amount of air volume, (3) not real loud and (4) can blow cold air without having to hold down the cold button. This dryer measures up to my 4 main needs (above) plus this dryer can blow cold with the cold button or with setting the temp on cool. It is small enough that my hand can operate all buttons without sliding my hand. The buttons are designed to me operated with the side of the finder and not just the tip. They are very easy to switch on and off and between settings. If you want hot air it can do that also. I was so pleased with the first one I purchased I ordered a second. Remember this is the travel size but it has the power of many saloon models in a compact size. One last thing, the dryer also has a permanently attached cord wrap tie. I bought this hair dryer to replace an older, heavier dryer that finally stopped working after many years. I didn't want something expensive and was pleasantly surprised how powerful this little travel size dryer was for the price! I have shorter hair so it's perfect for my needs. It has 3 heat settings (hot, warm and cool) and 3 air flow settings (high, low and off) plus a cold air blast button to set a curl. It's light weight and easy to hold and has a decent cord length. Even though the buttons are located in the front of the handle where it's gripped, I haven't managed to change the heat setting or air flow by accident. Pros: very powerful, small, cool stays cool, attachment attaches firmly, can fit the xtava orchid diffuser Cons: louder than other hair dryers I’ve used, the back will suck your hair up lickety split if given the opportunity All in all, I think this is a great hair dryer. It dries my hair faster than my sister’s other conair hair dryer and actually stays cool when set to cool (I’m not sure I’ve ever had a hair dryer do that). The loudness can be a lot sometimes but I do have ear plugs I can use. My biggest issue is that I have long hair and if I’m not careful, it’ll get sucked up in the back. This is simple enough to prevent with extra care but still a little annoying. I think it’s because the motor is so powerful and it has a short barrel, because the mesh screen on the back is equivalent to other hair dryers I’ve used and I never had an issue with those ones. But for your money, I’m not sure there’s another hair dryer that would do a better job. I’d be interested to see how it compares to the non-compact version. ... show more

I own Dyson and Shark blow dryers and both take about 35 minutes to diffuse my hair with their respective (proprietary) magnetic diffusing attachments at low speed/warm air. This Conair Infinity Pro Mini is as powerful as the other two much more expensive dryers (all have 1600 Watts), and offers the same 2 speeds and 3 heat settings. However, this small, light wonder takes me half the time with the Xtava Black Orchid diffuser, which fits it perfectly and never falls off. The Conair Infinity Pro Mini and the Xtava Diffuser have given me another 15 minutes every day and the perfect curly hair blow dryer for about $50. This dryer is very powerful for its compact size. It has a solid and quality build, though the rose gold printed lettering looks cheap. It doesn’t get very hot on the hottest setting, though for me the power of the air makes up for it (and maybe is preferable, at least for short hair).

    • Tiny Dryer with an ATTITUDE (EDIT: that doesn't last long)

EDIT: After only a bit over two months' use, it blew up. I was in the middle of diffusing my hair when the motor started to grind, it started smoking, and there was a horrible smell of burned plastic. Ridiculous that it only lasted this long. Thankfully it was still under warranty. I'm giving it three stars instead of one for the ease of contacting customer service for a replacement. Here's hoping the new one lasts longer. I was very surprised when I took this dryer out of the box at how tiny it is. It actually weighs a more than my old regular-sized Conair, but the barrel is much shorter on both ends. I can see how this would lead to long hair getting sucked into the back vent, but as I paired this dryer with a Black Orchid diffuser, which is huge, the whole unit is long enough that I haven't had that problem. I LOVE that it has a cool setting where I don't have to hold the Cold Shot button all the time - that was exhausting when diffusing long curly hair. The medium-warm setting is just the perfect temp for diffusing curly hair - I never have it on the hot setting, as it is too hot. The buttons are easy to switch, but not accidentally. The power of this dryer is amazing considering its size. With the Black Orchid diffuser it has good force, but not too much to damage my hair. My main complaint is the noise - it screams so loudly I have to wear ear plugs, which I didn't with my old Conair. It also starts to feel heavy when diffusing for a long time. But it is definitely an improvement over my old Conair, and works well for diffusing curly hair when paired with a Black Orchid. ... show more
