The cable on this is definitely not stiff enough to be used as a sewer camera. But you can buy other cheap vinyl or other type of half-inch ID tubing, and that can help to push it into a0pipe, but it still will not go around corners unless you can get a tubing with the right properties (rigid and smooth enough to be pushed into a pipe but flexible enough to bend some). But at this price it is worth trying. It does have a decent picture and allows you to see where you otherwise could not. I was able to fix my plumbing issue with this and a $5 vinyl tube with a 1/2” ID to feed the camera several feet into the pipe (did not bend around corners though). With the camera cable alone you would be lucky to get more than a few feet into a pipe: ... show more

It's kind of hard to go wrong with these devices. It's got a screen, it's got a camera, and there's a looooong stiff cord between them. My favorite feature is the fact that you don't have to use your phone as the display. However, this can't record videos or pictures, so this is objectively not as good as one that does allow you to record pictures and video. You couldn't use this professionally because you wouldn't be able to attach pictures to reports, and you wouldn't be able to use this as a homeowner trying to solicit help from someone remotely because you wouldn't be able to send pictures or videos to them. ... show more

I was able to try this product free and then ended up buying 3 for my nephews. The cord is flexible yet stiff enough to get the camera where you need it. The picture so so clear. Color is good - focus is adequate. Cable is stiff enough to push through. Attachments are very small, and I forsee modifying them. Diameter is the smallest I've worked with and I'm pleased I paid a bit more for the narrower option. Would purchase again.

I use this to look under my bed for things that I want to make sure is there before I have to pull everything out. It has been ok. It takes some getting used to. I get confused if the view is upside down or right-side up. Still useful though.

So this is a tool that you don't think that you need until you get into a situation where it is the only thing that you need! After getting this I was very pleased to find that it was very well-built and has a really great picture. I have been using it for automotive uses which makes for a really nice tool as it has a great picture making it easier to see what I need to see along with having a flashlight at the end for the darker spaces. It does a good length to it allowing for really any sort of job you may need it for as I haven't come close to using the max length of it.     • Compact inspection camera with sharp image
This is a great plug-and-play unit for real-time inspections of tight spaces. It has its own display, so you don’t have to attach/link anything to an external monitor or your phone. It doesn’t require any downloads, account set-up, or even an internet connection. Operation is intuitive, but the instructions are clear if you need them. The display unit is small enough to fit in a pants pocket, but has a large, crisp, full-color screen. The screen brightness cannot be adjusted, but is easy to see in most indoor and outdoor lighting conditions. The probe and cable are thin enough to fit in and out of most pipes, crevices, and corners and to spin a full 360 degrees so you can see all angles. It also has a side angle mirror you can attach to the probe to give you another perspective. You can also attach the included hook and/or magnet to the probe to retrieve dropped objects. The magnet is strong enough to pick up small objects like screws or washers. It’s easy to swap out the attachments and they thread on securely, so you don’t have to worry about them falling off in the middle of your inspection. The 16ft cable is flexible enough to get around some (not sharp) twists and curves, but rigid enough to hold its shape once you bend it how you want it. There are buttons on the display unit (not touch-screen), so you can operate it while wearing gloves. Using the buttons, you can adjust the brightness of the probe’s LED lights (low, medium, high, off), zoom in and out on an image, and flip the image 180 degrees. The lights do produce a bit of glare and image fuzziness in some settings. The probe is waterproof so you can use it in plumbing pipes and drains. The display unit is not waterproof (so use caution in wet environments), but seems well-constructed and durable. I plan to store mine in a fabric bag (not included) to protect the screen from scratches. The scope cable is permanently attached to the display unit (not removable). The unit arrived fully charged and the battery lasts a long time. Once the battery is depleted, it is easy to recharge via the included USB-C to USB-A cable, and there is an indicator light to let you know when it is fully charged. Note: The “About this item” section uses the words “camera” and “photos” a couple of times, but this device cannot be used to capture/store any photos or videos.
