My cat would eat my dog's food and she gained so much weight. I saw someone else got this for their cat and it worked so I risked it since she was getting sick and gaining really fast (dog is 40lbs higher). I wish the battery life was longer but is amazing! She no longer has access to the food and it was worth all money!! Update 1/10/2024: Several months later I noticed that my kitchen has been disturbed and I tried out the collar again. It no longer shocks. Only beeps regardless of how close you get to the receiver. So it is essentially useless after a few months. Don't buy!!! ... show more

Works great, keeps the dog out of the cat box. It was easy to set up. He's a 20 lb dog, and the collar fit fine. The only downside is the base projects further than the 4 feet I had it set on. The cat boxes are downstairs, and when doggo is upstairs but over the same area, it would activate. Poor guy would walk under the table and get zapped. I set it down to 3 feet, and the green light still goes solid in that area. He's afraid to go down the steps to other rooms because it will zap him, even though he is further than 3 feet from the base. Overall it was worth it to get this to keep him out of the cat boxes as he would eat the cat poo and dig through the litter, making a horrible mess. ... show more

I was skeptical about it as I had a shock collar previously for barking that didn’t work at all. This one works great. I can’t always be around to tell the dog to stay away from the counters, but this beeps quieter at first, then louder if she isn’t leaving before it shocks. All she needs is that reminder. Haven’t had any more counter surfing since we got it! Seems to hold charge for a couple days too. Glad I purchased it. ... show more

Does not work. No matter what I set the range at even i ultra mode, it only picks up the signal from the transmitter within a couple feet.

This product is awesome we had a problem with the dog marking the kitchen island… just because he wanted too… with the collar and the boundary set his habit has been broken! We haven’t even had to use the shock feature the beep alone redirects our dog’s attention. The collar holds a charge for over a week and it charges fully within an hour ... show more

I have a very intelligent Husky Labrador who learned how to unlock and open doors/deadbolt them shut from the inside. I tried everything from crate training to locking him in a kennel while I was gone for work, but nothing worked. Purchased this to keep my dog out of the kitchen. While the electronic piece does work well, the nylon collar COMPLETELY FELL APART ON THE FIRST USE!! I had to buy a new collar to use the electronic part. What a piece of CRAP.
