I love this shelf! It literally just folds out and comes with the lights! The few critiques I have as a gardener by trade, understanding it is a home unit: -two lights per shelf (this ensures you can lower the lights to 4” above soil level at time of planting and gradually move up as plant grows, keeping 4” limit, without sacrificing light pattern; 6 lights total -include magnetic hooks to suspend lights. Mentioned by another reviewer, and picked mine up at time of order, but it makes sense to include four per lighted shelf; 12 hooks total -top zipper/velcro vent; the front zippers are great for tending, but the lights cause it to get HOT, I don’t want to let all the heat out, just some out the top to keep it moving. Another tip is to also sell lights separately so people can purchase more if they choose that match.

This is a great product !Easy to set up and a convenient size but still holds a lot of trays and pots. Wheels on the bottom will make it easy to roll outside when time to harden plants off. Highly recommend!!

Very easy to set up and put away. Only thing is that you may need an extra grow light bar since my seedlings were reaching and I had to keep rotating the trays. Otherwise I love this guy!

I love that the shelf is sturdy and foldable making it something that I can store away while I am not using it. It was recieved in excellent condition, all parts were there as expected. The only issue I've had is that the lights burnt out within the first two weeks of use. Upon plugging it in for the final time before they were officially done, the swtich exploded into two pieces and had a shock come from it. (Thankfully no one was hurt and the plug in I was using was a safety one and the breaker popped.) There is not a way to contact the company, and the item is past it's return time frame. So now I have to buy new lights, which is a major bummer because the lights were a huge selling point for me.

UPDATE (1 MONTH) One skinny grow light per row was insufficient for my seed starting. The front and rear seedlings became "leggy" trying to reach the central light energy. I invested in three 4-tube grow lights that cover 12x24 and promote vertical growth. I just got this today and assembled it. Shelf, casters, lights and vinyl cover: ½ hour. Instructions were good, and I used the chain option for hanging the lights. The instructions were vague on how to hook the chain to each shelf, so I just looped the chain through 2 holes and clipped them on the light clip. This leaves 2 chain humps on 3 of 4 shelves... nothing huge, but I would have preferred an entirely smooth surface. Be aware that the vinyl cover is only as tall as the unit, making the very top shelf unlighted and uncovered. I'm still going to use it; I'll figure out which seeds to start on top. [See photo] 5☆ if: Charge $20 more > Add 1 light, a top extender, and a taller vinyl cover. I need all 4 tiers lighted and under cover.

I'd probably give it a 5 star but it came in a taped up box and was missing parts. The actual stand was easy and painless to set up. Even the directions were not to bad to follow. But again, parts missing...not sure if it came from the manufacturer that way or the box got opened and the parts fell out? Either way, I tried to do a seller request and it sent me to Amazon FAQ no matter what I tried. The only option is to return it...
