Designed for Leupold scopes built after 2004, Alumina® Flip-Back™ lens covers feature powerful neodymium magnets to hold them securely closed and the triple O-ring seals provide maximum protection from the elements. Constructed out of durable 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum, they are precisely machined to allow for quick and easy operation, and a low-profile position, when open, make these Flip-Back lens covers stand above the rest. Okay I have to admit I was not thrilled about having to order $100 worth of caps for a scope I already paid good money for, but having received these I get it. These are incredibly high quality and designed extremely well. You can install them without removing your scope; yes, you read that right, you can definitely install them correctly without removing your scope and they are o-ring sealed to be water tight and flip open with the flick of a finger. Aircraft grade aluminum, water tight seals, stellar aesthetics, flat flush fit when caps are pushed against scope body, they just fit the gold ring line of scopes really well. I considered going the cheap route, but that's like painting a Porsche with a rattle can. Just, no. Anyway, I'm very glad I bought this set and currently give it a 10/10, would buy again. ... show more

So far they seen good and worth what I paid for. They don't make a sound when flipping them up/open. Was worried their might be a sound that might spook a deer but they are silent. For the price it would be nice if they included O-rings on the threads for added protection. They are over priced for what they are made of and purpose, but then again I guess the added cost for piece of mind that they are going to fit your scope correctly and a warranty in case something ever happens to them sorta makes up for it. These should be sold for $50 as a more realistic price but the surcharge for leupold products makes them cost what they do. ... show more

    • I Expected An Excellent Product From Leupold...
Gotta say: they came through again! The Bra was fine, while I recovered from buying the 6.5-20x40mm, but I did spring for the Leupold scope and the way it performs; it deserves the best protection I can give it! No more stretching rubber over the lenses for me (YIPPEE). Well (full disclosure), the Bra's actually found a home on my Leupold VX Freedom 3-9x40mm (next 40mm & Standard EP kit recipient). Easy to install, even with my arthritic fingers and I really like that the front cover DOES NOT rotate, when I adjust parallax. Quiet operation, beautiful fit and finish. I liked how easy they are to install. You dont need to remove the scope. I put them on and went out for a hunt recently. They are for the most part pretty quiet when opening them, but the front flip up cap is already squeaky. I will lube it up and hope it removes the squeak. Light weight, aluminum which is nice. They did help keep the rain out both front and back. I feel they are over priced though. ... show more

    • Yes these are pricy lens covers, but they are worth it!
I wasn't sure about getting these for my new scope, and I considered just using the stretched out rubber covers that came with my VX-R Patrol, however after looking at some youtube videos I saw that in the long run, these would be a much better investment. The break-down: These covers are tough! As soon as I opened the package I knew my money was well spent. They were thicker than I was expecting and felt extremely durable. The finish on they is slick, and really quite awesome. The rotation of the covers around the ring that secures them into place felt very fluid, but not so much as it would ever become a problem. The magnets that secure the covers in place are very strong and they do take quite a bit of pressure to release (that's a good thing), and once they are open they fold down flat as pictured which keeps them from bouncing all around after you fire. All in in all, these were a great buy, and compliment any of their Leupold Scopes very well. In they future I'll buy Leupold again, as well as these covers. ... show more

These are hands down the best lense covers I’ve ever used. Thin profile, much better than plastic. They stay in place and the covers fold completely back staying out of your way. Such a clean look. Definitely a premium feel to them

I have used Butler Creek flip up covers for years. In the last few years, they have gotten a little cheese. And, stores don't stock them very well. The new Signature line is over engineered expensive junk. So, I bought the Leupold covers to try. Yeah, there pricey..but..vastly superior in every way. They can be put on without taking the scope off. Low profile. Will buy more sets. Order carefully. They do not fit older scopes than 2003. But, according to Leupold, they make additional adapter pieces so you can. Very impressed. ... show more
