This is a nice, non-commercial sized incubator. It comes with instructions and an "Incubation Handbook." The packing Styrofoam can be used to provide extra insulation for colder ambient temperature environments. The incubator features two water bottles which go into two separate water chambers to provide for the need to increase humidity at the end of the hatching cycle. This is a really nice feature that is well thought out and convenient. The unit has easy instructions labelled on the top. Temperature is adjustable with an LED readout to show what it is set at, as well as what the current temperature is. Humidity is adjustable through a vent that can be turned to allow humidity to escape at varying levels. The use of the two-water-bottle system also plays a large roll in humidity management. The egg turning tray is automatically set to turn eggs every two hours. This is a very nice feature. You can also initiate the egg turning tray through the control buttons on top. This allows you to test the function or do manual turning cycles if you desire. The egg turning feature does not have an automatic shutoff for the last few days of the hatching cycle so it must be manually removed a few days prior to the expected hatch date. The unit is well made. All pieces fit together well. The "Hatching Handbook" is helpful but seems to be missing some of the information you will want. It seems to be primarily written for a more juvenile audience. It provides the number of days to expect various types of birds to hatch but it doesn't include temperature and humidity settings that you want to maintain for each type of egg. It gives general ranges for those settings which is probably good enough. It is a good starting point, and other necessary information can be found easily through other sources, but it would be nice if it were more comprehensive. This functions as designed. It runs without too much noise. It is a decent size for beginners or backyard bird owners, and it is reasonably priced.

The cost is good and so far it has kept a consistent heat and humidity. I have one more week until hatching my first batch, so fingers crossed for hatch rate. One feature I wish it had is a day counter, but it’s not a necessity. Overall a good deal for a small incubator.

I think this incubator is not working properly. Its screen says the temperature is 101 degrees and the humidity is 54, but I used an external hygrometer and thermometer that I know are reliable, and they show the temperature at 80 degrees and the humidity at 24. With such differences, it's impossible to achieve successful incubation.

This incubator has worked really well so far. We probably put in 15 to 20 quail eggs, and so far, most of them have hatched after only a few weeks. It's worked pretty seamlessly, and if you've tried incubating eggs without one of these automatic systems, it's significantly harder. This really makes it a much easier way of hatching eggs. It's relatively smaller than what we've seen on the market, and we like that it takes up less space. It's really easy to use, despite the many buttons and tools, and it's pretty easy to clean as well. You have a lot of control over the heat level and humidity, so overall, you get a lot of utility without taking up much footprint. It's a little more expensive than others we've seen, but we still recommend it.
