I bought this as a gift for a friend who is just starting to raise chickens, and it looks to be impressive. Lots of needed features such as egg turning and temperature control. It does so much more than some, a little pricey but worth it for the exciting features it has. I cannot imagine hatching chickens without it - how did farmers ever manage to watch over all their live creatures without the modern age! I have no experience with incubators, and my friend is not starting hatching until next year, so my review is woefully incomplete. I can tell you my friend has throughly inspected the Cieex incubator thoroughly and is excited to take advantage of its sophisticated controls!

I ordered this 18 chicken egg incubator because it was advertised as coming with an 8 slot duck egg turner. I was expecting that I might be able to fit in 4-6 goose eggs but was thrilled to find out that incubator is plenty wide and high to accomodate goose eggs and that the duck egg turn easily fits 8 goose eggs. The incubator reaches temperature quickly and holds it well. Humidity is controlled by a vent on top that can be opened or closed (though even closed there are a couple small vent holes.) The speed of the egg turner can be adjusted from once every 60 minutes, 120 minutes (which is the default) and 180 minutes. The programmability of this incubator is impressive. The user sets the total number of days of incubation and the turner will automatically stop turning 4 days prior to hatching for the "lockdown" stage. This can be a pretty nice feature but it would be nice to have an option where the turner keeps turning as I plan on using this for incubating but doing the lockdown in a larger incubator (there is plenty of room for chicks and ducklings, but I think it might be a bit tight for gangly goslings.) One of the best features I discovered happened when we had a power outage and the incubator came back on when power was restored.

This incubator is larger than standard models since it is meant for chicken, turkey, and duck. The trays are easy to swap, it's easy to clean after hatching, and the styrofoam insulator is removable. Everything works incredibly well and is well-made. The screen is easy to read/navigate. It is heavy-duty and durable. This is an excellent model for beginners and pros!

This item is a great educational item for a classroom or for a farm. The capacity of eggs this can hold is enough to hatch multiple chickens. This turns on easily and the egg spaces are far enough in between that the fit perfectly. I like the sturdiness of this machine. What a great way to hatch eggs. Two thumbs up!
