We bought this to replace a small incubator we used a couple of years ago. It holds up to 24 eggs, has an automatic humidity and temp setting. Also features a digital monitor that counts down the days for you, even "locking down" at day 19. Lock Down is actually a reminder rather than an actual locking mechanism. Several things I want to share about this incubator: 1. It came with little separator walls to aid in the automatic "turning". We took those out and let the eggs lay naturally on the screen floor. We gently rotated them by hand approximately two or three times a day. 2. If the little rotator prong slips out, don't worry. You can rotate them by hand and it's more effective anyway as no one gets left out. 3. Don't over think the humidity levels--it's not a hard science-- anywhere between 47 and 95 percent is ok 4. If the water bottles that feed the well let too much water in, just remove one and monitor readings. Again, it's not hard science. 5. Lastly, this model comes with a candling light to determine viability (is there a live embryo inside?). It's a helpful feature to help you see those little blood veins that develop in the first week or so. Very happy with this incubator. We hope to raise our own chicks in the future as prices for baby chicks are way out of control. We had 100% hatch on day 21 & 22. We assisted a few that had begun breaking out and then got tired or stuck. If you're careful not to rush the process, you'll be able to tell which chicks are struggling. If they start pipping and then stop for more than two hours I go in and chip a tiny bit off, then watch for progress, then chip another little part of the shell off and let them finish up.

Used once so far. Easy to operator. Temperature & humidity works well. Says fits 24 eggs but I was lucky to fit 19 chicken eggs. The fan is to low. If the chicks stood their feathers were being pulled into the fan and if the flipped onto their backs their toes would catch in the fan. Cleaning the fan area is difficult.

Please do yourself a favor and absolutely don’t buy this incubator. There is no way to manually set the humidity you have to figure it out with the water. After finishing one incubation period I started another one and reset the incubator but it doesn’t properly reset. It won’t turn the egg turner back on or set the day. Money wasted.

UPDATE: the incubator had these small plastic tabs semi blocking the vents of the incubator. Once I popped them out, the humidity stabilized to exactly where it should be, so, I am revising my review and raising my star level...I did not loose any eggs and they are due to hatch in 6 days. I am having difficulty getting the humidity below 55%. the water is in the A slot, and I have tried using paper towels to create a bit of a gap to allow the humidity to go down more...but it is not working. the vents are wide open and still the humidity is too high.

Solid incubator. This is my first time hatching eggs (runner ducks), and the incubator has worked well. Holds the temp in our basement, which is slightly colder than the living area. Egg rotation works as expected. Just be careful that when placing the lid back that you insert the prong to the egg rack. My one complaint is that the gravity water bottle does not work on mine if the bottle is fully inserted into the slot. I have to lift it slightly in order for the mechanism to refill the water. It will stay that way and work as long as it is not disturbed. I would recommend the product with the caveat of the water refill concern.

Humidity & temperature are a little tricky to get used to compared to other incubators we have used. I suggest never filling to the max because the space isn’t big enough after hatching while chicks dry out. When hatching ducks the babies are too tall to stand up to stretch out.
