  • Awesome incubator egg machine
This egg incubator machine works very well and it has great features for maintaining the eggs working well. I love the light to check the eggs with the progress of it, heat temperature and turning the eggs. Super easy to use it.

  • Works great
Have hatched out several chicks in this little incubator. It works well and looks great. Love the full view lid and the candler built in is very handy too. Overall, quite pleased!

  • It does not seem to maintain temperature.
I have a secondary temperature humidity sensor that tracks over wifi, and I was watching this fluctuate up to 2F away from the number on the top. I decided not to trust it and haven't even tried to hatch any eggs in it yet. I have two other incubators that stay within 1F of the temperature it reports. I have used this same temperature data logger in all of them, and I am pretty confident that this overshoots the set point without even letting you know. The humidity alarm is very annoying. It goes off all the time, because the tiny trough around the outside edge does not have enough surface area to keep the humidity up. The flat egg turner is nice, and works better than the roller style ones, but it has a flaw. The gear is difficult to line up when putting the lid back on. The gear sits there and is present even after removing the egg turner tray. This means when you are hatching out the gear will move from time to time. There is no "turn off turner" that I can find. This is one of the simplest incubators I have used, and in my opinion it is not sufficient for the purpose. The temperature sensor isn't accurate enough, the humidifier isn't sufficient, and the chance of a chick getting caught in the gear all made me choose not to use this for actually hatching eggs. ... show more

  • basic incubator, power supply works for 20 minutes and quit
This incubator looks nice and promising, and it has features like temperature and humidity control, automatic egg turner, egg candler, if all these work properly, I believe it is a not too bad incubator. Unfortunately it appears that it lacks of quality control, design and material used appear not up to the par. The power supply works for about 20 minutes during the initial testing, and then it quits. That's the killing reason of deducting at least 3 stars. Then, fortunately there is an "alternate" power means provided - a pair of alligator clips for using 12V battery, I found out it works, so, that makes me 100% sure the power supply is bad quality and fail. (In fact, there is a LED window on the supply and no longer lit up, plus multimeter reading also shows 0V out of it) Continue with my battery supply, it can heat up and work, turner orks, egg candler works, BUT, there is NO separation of the motor/gear from the main chamber or the "living/bedroom" of the eggs! That means, the chicks may get trapped by the gear! The lid isn't designed well and not easy to align and close perfectly. It takes a while to manually align and yes, eventually I can close it. The instruction says there should be a different "set"/"frame" for smaller eggs, however, I only find one set of the frame for large eggs. Finally, if you look at how they pack it, it doesn't look like it is manufactured by a company with reputation, no protection to the contents at all. Fortunately Amazon put extra box around the package, or the lid will have cracked already. The power supply quality is really in question. Chick-safety design doesn't seems existing. For a quick experiment or "play" purpose, I think it's ok. Be sure to either have a backup 12V power supply or large capacity 12V battery to start this trial journey. ... show more

  • Seems to work well for reptile eggs
I have been incubating a small clutch of snake eggs in this incubator for about 3 weeks. When I ordered it, I was not sure if it could be adapted for snake eggs, but it was no problem. Simply remove the egg turner and put your eggs in a closed container with incubation substrate (I use perlite). The incubator can be set to the lower temperature and higher humidity needed. I originally tried it without the cover on the egg container, but the circulation fan dried out the eggs too much even when set to very high humidity. I put a second thermometer/hygrometer in the container and the incubator seems to be doing a good job at maintaining temp/humidity. You do need to take care when placing the lid. It is easy to leave a small gap that allows the humidity to escape. I am pleased with this incubator so far. I had some issues early on with this clutch so I am not sure if any of them will hatch, but I don't think it will be the fault of the incubator if they don't. Fingers crossed! ... show more

  • some good some bad.
I had issues with the first unit I received but the seller was quick to send out a replacement unit. Overall this incubator will get the job done. On the positive side it does get up to temperature quick and the included bottle caps have a valve in them that makes it easy to add water without creating a mess. Its also nice that the water system is all self contained without any additional hoses or bases to set up. Anyone who uses incubators knows what I am talking about. Great design there. The interface in clearly labeled and easy to use as well. Still I have a hard time giving this a good rating though as the way the motor is connected in to the lid can create problems. I am pretty sure when the first one i received was assembled that they did not line up the gears properly which caused it to break. The new one I received is in good working order but you have to be careful to make sure you line up the gears when you put the lid on. This is annoying compared to units that have the motor and board in the base. Overall I would rate this as acceptable but not great. For the price it will get the job done and as long as your willing to be careful you should not have any problems with it. ... show more

  • Quick and easy to set up.
Set up was simple. Plenty of space for the eggs. Egg rotation works well. Looks as though it is working as it should. Will update once the first batch of eggs goes through. UPDATE - The first batch of eggs is done. My old set up was simple and fairly manual. Out of 42 eggs I never got more than 9 to hatch. In this first batch 17 of the 18 eggs hatched! The last one was partially developed, and I blame that on a power outage. Great incubator, simple to set up and use. I love it!! ... show more
