Grabbed this for a guest bed we bought a couple years ago that doesn't have a box spring. The salesman told us we needed a Bunkie board on it since we weren't going to have a bed spring and he was right because we tried it for a while without one and the bed has a bad habit of pushing through the slats on the frame and sinking in different spots which we then have to lift the bed up and put the slats back in place. We tried using a piece of plywood and that worked ok but made the bed a bit more rigid then we would like. This Bunkie board was exactly what we needed since it has a bit of give but enough structure to keep the slats from getting pushed out of place by the mattress. Definitely a must have if you have a low profile bed without a bedspring.

I grabbed this as I decided I'm going to do away with my boxspring when I get my new bed setup. It's one of those that says it doesn't require one, but I don't like the idea of just the bars for supporrt. My other option I've done on other beds before was get a nice piece of plywood, have them cut it down to size then cut in half across it so I can handle it, they'll do that at the big box stores for like 50 cents a cut, and use it...it works well too with a toddler/twin size bed. But since this popped up in my offers I thought I would try it first. I like that it spreads the load out across the bars. I've seen many of the newer type like that where the bars have bent or broken down. I believe this will prevent that and prevent undue wear to my mattress. If I run into any issues with it I'll be sure to update this review, but for now it looks good and it should work well. Regular price $ 104.45 per the listing and there's a 5% off coupon is seriously overpriced in my opinion! I can get a 4 foot X 8 foot 1/2 inch thick sheet of good quality plywood for much less ($25.00) and get it cut too! So even if I needed 2 sheets it would be less than half what this costs! Sorry but that's the truth! As always I only do honest reviews and update if needed. I hope this helps you make the best choices how to spend your $.

Ugh. Why would you have Queen Size (76 X 60) that's not really Queen Size (80x60) and another one called Large Queen Size (80x60) that's actually Queen Size? All it does is confuse people. That said, I did make the not really "Queen Size" work for me by shifting it to the middle but would have preferred to just have the regular 80 x 60 real Queen Size. The product is what it says. It is 10mm thick and does provide a nice solid surface for my mattress. I prefer to have the bunky board on top of the metal slats to provide a touch more firmness to my mattress. This worked well and is cheaper than ยฝ plywood locally so it's a win other than the size discrepancies. Had Queen size actually been queen size, it would have been a 5 star product.

I'm using these large pet support.Slates for my own personal use to keep my bed from sinking down. I feel that the build material is thick and durable. Made from a strong and reliable material. I feel that the price is reasonable for the product I received. The slats fit in my bedframe easily. The slats give my bed more support and stability. I am satisfied with its overall functionality and would recommend for its durable build material.
