If you know you're going to be using the canopy a lot and need it to last, this isn't your best choice. But we needed a tent for a market and wanted lime green. Canopy came with a small hole in it and one of the Velcro pieces ripped off first use. That being said we got it up and it stayed up. It was a bit difficult to set up but we figured it out.

Other reviews complain that the build quality of this portable canopy is too weak, and complain about broken pieces. This was not my experience, and it felt like any other cheap canopy i've ever owned. So long as you dont force anything, you should be fine. Assembly is also a common point in the negative reviews for this product. Assembly in my case, was, again, exactly like any other canopy I've ever owned. It's incredibly straightforward and well documented in the promotional material that came with the canopy. The only real problem with this canopy is that the actual fabric "canopy" that goes over the frame was cheaply made. The seams almost immediately gave way and it leaked on us quite a bit. If you're getting this, know that it might not be waterproof or that you might need to replace the canopy. As is, its fine for keeping the sun off you.

We were initially going to used it as a temporary shade for some young plants. Time went on and we never built a permanent shade. it's been in our back yard for 4 months now and has seen 60mph winds, monsoon rain storms and sand storms. Is it damaged, yes, is it torn in spots, yes, it is still up and mostly functional, YES OH HELL YES! Great value for the money, way out performed what it was designed for. Just make sure to tie it down in the case of high winds, the stakes it comes with are more for decoration than any functional purpose.

It is easy to set up but be careful when you collapse it because it isnt solid and the plastic parts and weak metal will bend and break. Be careful with it and it will work just fine if the sun is directly overhead.

We broke down and bought this primarily due to the cost. We won't be using it too often. The first time I set it up it was easy. Typically these type tents require two people to pull apart but I was able to do it my self. The canopy seems to be made of good material. This is going to work great for providing shade for our new grand daughter at the beach.
