So as the title says, sharp. How do i know this? I accidentally rubbed my finger lightly over the blade when getting ready to wash the knife. Easily cut through my skin. Other than my fingers, this bread knife slices bread really nicely. My Costco croissants have never been cut cleaner. The beautiful full tang and wooden handle give a very premium touch. Just a minor quibble, the sharp corner of the blade near the handle (at my index finger) protrudes beyond the safety limit. Otherwise almost as good as that company in "Olean NY USA".
