I rarely ever write reviews for anything cause i just don't have the time, but iKTCH's product support has impressed me so much that I've got to add my two cents here. I bought this range hood a little over 2 years ago and installed it myself above a new 36" 5-burner gas range while remodeling my kitchen. The kitchen originally had a down-draft vent that didn't work well so I custom built the walnut hood cover to fit this new range vent. Since I didn't have an existing hood, I can't say how easily this unit would fit/swap if you do have an existing hood, but it was easy enough to install as new. We cook on the gas range almost every day and it never has a problem quickly venting even the strongest cooking odors like frying fish or searing steak. Its easy to clean, powerful, adjustable, and the remote and motion controls work great. It has worked great for the last 2 years! Until last weekend....when it wouldn't turn on, and this is the most important part of my review. Any company can build a product that works great, but how a company supports their product when you have an issue is what builds their reputation and earns my repeat business. I immediately emailed the seller via the link in my Amazon order history and described the problem. Because they're based in China, the email I sent to iKTCH support was received at 3am Chinese time. Not even (7) hours later, I received a response asking a question about the symptoms and offering to ship me a replacement part at no cost. I replied and provided my address, they shipped the part, and since they keep stock at an Amazon warehouse close to me, I received it the next day. I installed the part the next day, which took a screw driver and about 15 minutes, but unfortunately it didn't fix the issue. I replied and let them know, and they immediately shipped another part for free that I received the next day. Now everything is working great again! Through the whole process, I was corresponding on one email thread with the same person, Mary, who was very courteous and responsive. If you've ever had to deal with another company that requires you to call in, sit on hold, "create a service ticket", and do that all over again with a new person to explain everything to them over and over, it really makes you appreciate how fast and easy it is to correspond with iKTCH support. Let alone the fact that despite being out of the stated warranty period, they quickly sent me parts at no cost. I've spent more money on on products from well-known brands and have not nearly received this level of commitment from them to support their products. Simply because they stand behind their products when an issue arises, I would highly recommend iKTCH to anyone.

This is a great product and was priced competitively! I researched several range hood inserts and this insert had more features than a better known competitor. The contractor who installed it also commented on its quality and features. Although I gave it a five rating, customer service is terrible. Instructions are poor and Amazon technical support could not answer questions nor reach IKTCH customer service to assist (there is no available phone number). I had to call my range hood manufacturer to problem solve installation. The range hood manufacturer's representative had built and installed hoods for 20 years, produced videos on range hood insert installations, ad provided great guidance. While he had never heard of IKTCH, he also commented on its range of features. IKTCH must do better with customer support!

This unit is really Kool. The fan turns on automatically. It senses the steam and turns on by itself. The speed of the fan can be adjusted by wave of hand. Looks like a high-end vent unit like Imperial and others. The Big negative is the Lighting. The lights are to dim. There is a dimming and brighter feature but still is not enough. I plan on changing them out with some other LED puck lights because they are the same size as other LED Puck lights which are better and brighter.

This product has good air flow. I watched a video review in which the customer said it did not. Mine is installed with ventilation to the attic. The ventless option comes with a carbon filter and does induce it will restrict airflow. The vented way works great. My baffle was damaged upon still in the box and is a cheap piece of plastic junk (reason for 4 stars). I opted to purchase a metal 6” baffle for $18 off Amazon and it works great. The lighting isn’t great unless it’s dark in your kitchen. Definitely not surgical lighting like some reviewers seem to want but it’s ok. My kitchen is so well light I don’t need the lights very often. All in all, well worth the money for this size of unit. The fan works great, aesthetically pleasing, and an easy installation.

Good vent hood for the price it definitely looks awesome. My hand motion controls work but you’ve got to be pretty aggressive with the hand. My only real complaint is it seems to be all bark and no bite; its louder than I expected, and it doesn’t suck as much air as I would have thought. There is just no way it’s 900cfms. I have it vented up through the attic to the roof, it’s installed in a cabinet with no front access and so I am pretty much relegated to hoping the plastic baffle isn’t in a bind. It does look awesome.

Love this product. The gesture controls don’t work as intended and lights are a bit dim. But, that is least of my concerns. The exhaust fan works really great and does remove cooking odors very effectively. It was easy to install, but need two people.

This has been a great hood so far. The box came damaged and the grates had shifted around in shipping and had light scratches. I emailed the seller and they responded quickly. They sent out new replacements that arrived in a couple days. The hood itself installed easily and works great. Tuning on and off with a hand wave is really nice and works well with a bit of practice. This is important because the only con is that the touch screen controls are not very responsive. The vent moves a lot of air. Noise isn’t bad. I assume in line with others of this type. I highly recommend the product and the support was great!
