I bought this so my builder could create a custom hood to match my fireplace. This fit the dimensions and budget. The builder said it was easy to install but fancy...lol. It came with a remote and has motion sensors. I haven't seemed to figure out how to make it work with motion every time and I don't have a manual on how to work it. Well built hood that works great. The only complaint I would have is the way it needs to be installed. The bottom part of the trim is not flat, it has like a lip all around with the holes in the outside; it looks like it was intended to insert the sides of the cabinet there, screw it and then hung the cabinet to the wall. I didn't have a cabinet, I had built a hood. It would be better if the sides were flush so it can be escrewed to whatever you built if it isn't a cabinet, and then have a separate bottom trim that could be secured with escrews in the inside so nothing was visible. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. We built a food truck trailer and after enclosing it, we needed a hood exhaust system as we would be deep frying inside. We wanted something powerful, stainless steel and 36" wide. This fit our criteria and even had built-in lights too which is really helpful. It isn't as loud as I thought it might get and sucks up the steam right away so we have a clean and clear kitchen space to work in. Stainless steel was a requirement and keep it professional. I am really impressed with all the extra features of this range hood. It included a remote-control as well so if I'm busy working on something I can ask someone else to turn it on and not have them get in the way since it is a tight squeeze on the trailer. As soon as it is on it suctions the steam up and out of the way. It has different power levels and when it is on full blast it works very quickly. One thing that sets this one apart from the others I considered is that it has built-in lights. They are actually quite bright and illuminate my grill and deep fryer sufficiently. I also have overhead lighting but these spotlights right into the grill and fry area. Installation was not difficult. It came with clear instructions and I just needed one other person to assist with holding it in place so I could screw it in. I do recommend not installing by yourself for this reason. Performance is stellar and beyond my expectations. It is easy to wipe clean too with my wife's Norwex cloths or a microfiber cloth with that purple degreaser spray. ... show more

It’s a little loud, no more than the fan on the microwave hood. Installed it at ceiling level. The steam/smoke risers so it get sucked up. My son in law installed it. Did take good part of the day. He had to run wire to a breaker. Than install a roof vent. Looks good. Does the job.

This kitchen hood was very simple an quick to put together and do all the hook up, the design is very elegant and matches beautifully with my kitchen since it is made out of stainless steel that not only looks good but it does to get fingerprints which makes my cleaning more efficient and that gives me more time for great cooking, and talking about cook! oh my oh my! this kitchen hood can be turned on/off simply by waving from left to right! I loove that feature because it makes me feel like that I have a magic want on my hand! cool feature! This becomes convenient when we have busy hands! still if I want to use the remote control I can use it as well! This Kitchen hood has a very beautiful and modern design, with a great elegant appearance ! It removes large amount of smoke very easily, I can assure that since many times we made steak and this hoot sucked in all the smoke and smell, keeping my kitchen very comfortable, since we always gather at the kitchen, including dogs and cats :)! UPDATE: After posting the review below, I was contacted be the customer service department. They were great to work with & provided us with exactly the information we needed to fix our ventahood. It is exactly what we wanted & works great. The suction is super good & we are so glad we bought it. Also the hands-free controls are awesome. The problem was install related, not the unit. With the issues of installation behind us, I had great hopes for the ventahood. I bought the highest cfm unit with good reviews that we could afford. It operates great, easy to turn off, on, up with good light but it is loud. But most of all the suction on high barely holds on to a thin paper towel. Still trying to find out how to contact their customer service. ... show more
