These have 2 nice sized zipper pockets. Plenty large to hold my phone, wallet, and whatever other little things I needed to carry. No netting on these which I prefer. I ended up wearing these as shorts for like half the trip. Wear underwear under them usually. If I was going to swim, no underwear (I guess could wear underwear to swim as well, but, would just take a lot longer to dry) They look good enough to wear to town, dinners, wherever! Love the material it’s made of and the pockets with the zippers are the chefs kiss. In my opinion, the price is a little high but overall I’m very happy. FYI: these DONT have a mesh liner on the inside so if that’s what you’re expecting, you’ll be disappointed. I spend a lot of time around the water, not in it. I’m also 6ft 5in, being this tall the Kip 5in shorts are a no go. This sits right above the knee for me. Average height? You’ll think is “long”.
