I actually like this product. Easy to install and seems currently durable. Why two stars? The self adhering rubber seal for insulation that came with it did not last long at all. The two pieces fell off the first day, even though I have cleaned the surface with alcohol prior to adhering them. I have to figure out how to seal my doors for proper insulation.     • No fudging the height and be sure you realize how much room you will have left once you install it.
I got this door and the height of my sliding glass door is 93.5" This product begins at 93.75" and I figured well it will be close, but I'm pretty sure I can make it work. No no no you don't. I even attempted to remove the piece at the top that springs up or down if your sliding glass door is taller than 93.5" to see if I could install it that way. Long story short, the only way this was going to fit was if I took a metal blade to the expansion piece and removed at least 1/4" of an inch. It would have looked terrible. The other stunning thing is the lack of room left once it would have been installed to go in and out of the door. Yes you can lay down a tape measure and see what it will look like, but the true test is when you slide it into place and then stand back and realize that a larger person would not easily be able to exit onto the patio any longer through the opening left. Everyone's sliding glass doors are different sizes and this product does its best to be all things to all people and probably works fine for some but not for this home-owner. The return was very easy and a credit was issued immediately so kudos to them for that. Funny that the next smallest size does not expand large enough for me to use that instead. Doggy door fit perfectly in the lani door. It will take a little getting use of with my dog but he’s a fast learner. I just like to say the first doggy door I purchased unfortunately was to small. Amazon was great about my return and sent the perfect size. It’s great to be a prime member.

    • Easy install works well
Easy install and works well. I added some insulation based on other review and put in a few spacers for a more snug fit. These adjustments weren’t necessary but it gave it a tighter fit.

    • Not what I expected
Had a hard time matching the size and had to buy a bunch of sealants and get creative to keep the heat in and cold out. I also had to figure a way to secure the door. It let my dog come in and out but it was such a hassle I ended up just removing in altogether.

    • We got the large size because we have visiting dogs (even though ours is only 25lbs).
Once its installed, there is no way we can fasten the T-bar to secure it (because of the guide rail layout. I do like the lock mechanism.

Delivered fast, easy to install but . . . I have to return it since the extra large door is 9” above the floor to the bottom and I bought it for an older dog with arthritis
