First things first, read the instructions. After unboxing, let this, or any other appliance that uses refrigerant sit for at least an hour in the upright position. Now, let’s talk about this machine. This thing does a great job. I love the “bullet” style ice cubes. This makes ice reasonably fast. If you monitor it, empty the ice tray when full and keep the water tank full, it will produce a bunch of ice. The machine makes some noise, due to the refrigeration unit and the fan, but it’s not terribly loud. It is fairly compact, but takes up some counter space. We will primary use this when planning on entertaining. It’s a great way to get a stockpile of ice in advance and keep producing it during the event. This even ships with several plastic ice bags for storage in the freezer. I plugged this in and started it up and after an hour, the bin was full. My initial thought is, this thing is worthy of five stars. I will come back to this and edit with further thoughts after some time.

It takes about 7-8 minutes for ice to be produced. It's a lot better than the ice maker from my fridge as that one takes on the odor of my fridge that I can't shake. I've tried using baking soda, but it still doesn't resolve the smelly ice I get. Plus, since my ice box is on the narrow side, the ice builds up and I have to go in and break it up so that it can dispense. With this countertop ice maker, I don't have to worry about that and use filtered water and there's no smell. Since this is not a freezer, the ice melts a little, but the water just gets collected and re-produce ice again. When you fill water to the Max line, it actually produces a lot of ice for the amount of water you put in there. It has a self cleaning mode that will flush out the system and a plug on the bottom that you can unplug to drain out the dirty water. I like the small and large ice options, but the large ice is not that bigger IMO. It also comes with a plastic scooper. I just wished there was a way to store the scooper with the icemaker for convenience. There are 2 fans on both sides that you have to make sure you do not block.

This ice maker is highly portable, and easy to use. It is quite noisy, but does make ice quickly. There are no funky plastic smells or taste from this machine or the ice that it makes. I find that it's best to make a big batch of ice to put in the freezer and then turn off the machine due to how noisy it is. The ice sits right above near-room temperature water and will start melting after sitting in the basket for a while. I believe this ice maker is overpriced when compared to other visually identical products that also claim to produce 26lbs of ice in 24hrs. One of which is sold here on Amazon, currently for $36 and has over 1900 reviews averaging 4.5 stars.

This ice machine is absolutely awesome! It was easy to set up and get the initial clean going. It works so well and super fast. It had a full tray of ice in less than 10 minutes. It holds a good amount of water, which is enough to make about 4-5 trays full of ice. Super happy with how well it works and the quality of ice. It's perfect for ice drinks.

The media could not be loaded. There is a lot like with this little guy. It makes ice quickly and doesn't have a bad plasticy smell. The ice shape/mold is actually a fun shape and it's unique in cocktail drinks. It makes ice really quickly and in a few minutes, your first batch of about 8 little ice thimbles are ready. I do suggest you read the manual as there are some important tips before using. The manual is easy to understand with descriptive pictures and helpful information. What I especially like: 1. This is nice and compact. It's great for a kitchen that is small or a kitchenette in an apartment. 2. It makes ice really quickly. If you're in a bit of a hurry, this will make ice far faster than putting ice in trays and sticking in the freezer. What I don't like: 1. The ice container isn't very big; meaning this doesn't hold much and you'd probably have to transfer to a tray in the freezer if you want a batch for multiple people. 2. The ice tray is over the water reservoir which means it can't keep the ice frozen solid without also freezing the water. This results in very wet ice. If you transfer a batch to a larger container in a real freezer, the ice is wet and will freeze together making one big clump. 3. This is kind of noisy. If you have this on our kitchen counter; expect a constant hum while it's freezing the water. 4. I run this on "large" ice instead of small. Even the large, shown in an attached photo, seems pretty small. While my "don't likes" list may seem like a big deal, the advantages of this make up for the deficiencies so I'm giving this 4 stars.

Perfect little ice maker. Really convenient all you have to do is follow the directions. It's super easy to use. Just add water, and you'll have ice in minutes. It takes about an hour to fill the whole tray. The first couple of batches don't come out as solid, but after that, it's solid as a rock. Can't wait to use it for my next party.
