It's powerful, reasonably quiet considering its strength, and easy to use. There is one button to rule them all. Press and hold the button, and a green light around the handle turns on. Hit the button once, twice, or three times for Levels 1, 2, or 3. One more turns it off. It's also reasonably lightweight. It also has two tips, one of them a broader rubber head, and another one that is a smaller head for getting at knots. Either one works well, and probably covers just about all you'd need for percussion-style massage. Oh, and yes, of course you want to know about how it massages. Fantastic. It's powerful, really powerful, so not everyone's going to like it, but it works deep to unknot muscles. It also lasts up to three hours, so you don't have to keep charging it over and over. I personally love the deeper massage, so within ten seconds, I already was sure that I would want to keep using this. Also, for $127, it seems like a strong value. How did I hear about this? The OT was using it during my session since I have lateral epicondylitis in both elbows. I immediately liked it, and inquired about it. Turns out that he has one he uses at home as well. Definitely recommended.

It feels like professional-grade therapy without the chiropractor visit. Pros: Whisper-quiet thanks to Quiet Glide technology — you can use it during a call without anyone noticing. Lightweight and ergonomic — easy to hold for long sessions without hand fatigue. 3 speed settings allow you to tailor pressure for sensitive areas or deep-tissue work. Travel-friendly size — fits easily in a backpack or gym bag. Cons: Only 2 attachment heads — enough for most, but heavy users may want more variety. No pressure indicator — requires a bit of guesswork for consistent intensity. Notes from Use: I tested it post-run for calf tightness, after upper-body workouts for shoulder relief, and even on forearms after long computer sessions. The percussion feels strong but not jarring, and it never overheated during 20–30 minute use. The battery lasted nearly a week on moderate use before needing a recharge. I purchased this unit on recommendation and use. It is the one my chiro uses. The unit was packaged well and came quickly. As soon as I had this unit out of the box, I couldn't wait! This unit has 2 attachments, a larger flat surface. The smaller attachment is for a more focused point. The unit does not take too terribly long to charge, and holds a good charge. I would definitely recommend this as the line's affordable unit. It is easily operated and lightweight.

Check out purchase date and review date for most of those reviews, and go check the ones that are made 6 months after purchase - You will notice a bunch of customers posting pictures of the part that connects the gun to the massage pad being broken. This is normal wear and tear, happens even if you are extra careful and seems to be a manufacturing issue with this model. Customer support does not replace parts nor offers warranty. While they say on this page that it comes with 1 year warranty, this is what is on their website: "This warranty excludes: Normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage Products/accessories are not used in accordance with the user manual Products are misused or modified in any way Products repaired by the user or anyone other than an authorized service representative of Hyperice/Normatec Products that are dropped or damaged due to user error Use of unauthorized non-Hyperice Charger Damage caused by accident, abuse, mishandling, or transport Damage exceeding the cost of the product Failure to provide the dated proof of purchase and serial number on your device Units not used in accordance with Hyperice care instructions Deterioration of the delivered product resulting from abnormal storage and/or safeguarding conditions on the client’s premises Products purchased from an unauthorized retailer. Units taken out of the US" AKA, if you use this for over 6 months it will break and you are out of luck. Much better off buying those $30 knock-offs. Do not recommend this at all and will not purchase Hyperice products ever again.

Well priced for a great product. These things can be pricey. The cheap ones are so loud and are impossible to hold - they also vibrate so much in the hand it is hard to hold. This one is easy to hold, doesn’t hurt the hand. The handle makes it easy to get your own shoulders. I have the full size and that thing is NICE! This is the perfect middle ground and is really good for travel, but much much much nicer than theragun etc
