  • Great hurricane supply
Purchased this for Hurricane Ian prep and very glad I did. We had no power for over a week which gave us no water due to well. We filled this up the night before Ian came through. Life saver for our dog! She had water the entire time with this item. We plan to keep it in our Hurricane supplies and to also us for camping. Thank you for creating a great product! ... show more

  • Spout was lopsided
It served its purpose but the spout was lopsided making it difficult for water to come out.

  • Works for what we need.....
Where I live, the water company frequently has issues - be it a power outage and the generator doesn't fire up, or they have a water main break. At least three to four times a year, we are relegated to sitting in a long line of cars to get a couple of cases of water to drink or cook with - OR we have to boil. I purchased several of these for the boil option. We boil, cool and funnel in to these containers, which sit on the counter. They are also this year's addition to our storm preparedness kit in the event of a hurricane. ... show more

  • Great for hand rinsing, emergency water, rinse off shower
This thing is pretty sturdy. The handle is built in like a milk carton so it's all one piece. I use this for cookouts when I just need a hand rinsing station next to me, and used it to rinse hands and feet at the beach. Overall a good product, it could use a vent at the top to get a better flow, but it does keep the water from draining super fast. Only drawback I would say is the spout placement sometimes it makes it a little awkward for the jug to sit flat and be able to run the spout because the jug is not super rigid, but it works none the less. I have gotten my money worth, and would buy again if I need to replace. ... show more

  • Garbage that failed at Burning Man
Count on these things having one use max. I bought two of them. I tested them at home before my trip, to be sure I wouldn't be screwed and to rinse out any plastic taste, and they were fine. After they dried, I folded them up again the way they came (I took a pic, so I'd know exactly how to do it). When I unfolded them at the event, one had a pinhole leak where a folding crease was, which duck tape didn't solve. The spout on that one also broke because I initially tightened it a bit more than it could go, apparently, in my attempt to make sure it was totally sealed, which actually made the spout snap past a certain point, and then the spout could no longer seal/leaked from then on. I switched the spouts, so I could at least make some use out of both of the containers, since one was now leaking out two ends. Ironically, though the spout was leaking from the seal point, the flow of water was really slow most of the time. It was really temperamental, with flow varying depending on how much up or down the handle part was inside the spout part--at best, it was an ok flow, and at worst it was a drip, but the entire container always needed to be tilted down for water to come out where it was supposed to. I lost track of the container with the pinhole leak right away, so I'm assuming someone else got frustrated and rotated it out of use, since most containers were lasting at least a day. I ended up leaving both of the containers behind with my camp leads--literally the only thing I left behind--because they were so worthless and I was so over it. Also, I was at a camp with communal water, so I got to test quite a few models of these five-gallon water containers, since people brought different ones. The best by far are the solid blue ones, if you can afford the space. As far as the foldable ones, I can tell you that the Colemans one had a super-slow flow and tasted like plastic. The one with the red handle on hinges seemed to do the best out of all those types. Good luck. ... show more

  • Great product for the price
I live in Florida and got these during Hurricane Irma and used them again for Hurricane Ian. These are great to have for a Hurricane survival kit. When a storm comes the bottles of water on the store shelves are sold out and it feels good to not have to worry about buying water.

  • Not a functional spout
I only went by positive stars and didn’t read reviews. Folds nicely but the spigot is not In the right position (see other reviews). It doesn’t sit square even when full and collapses so you can’t use spigot. Spigot seals nice but what’s the point if it can sit and pour. May use as a backup.
