I love this product. I have been training martial arts for the past 17 years. I used to train 5 - 6 x a week, but as I age, I've cut it down to 2 x a week. As you get older, you need to focus a lot more on self care and recovery and this is one of the top items I use. Although I don't use it after every session, i always use it when I'm sore and/or feel like i've pulled yet another body part. The main complaint I see people have is the short battery life, which is about 30 minutes on a full charge for me at level 2 heat and constant vibration. Honestly, I understand why people would want a longer life, but I've read that it's actually not good to use heat packs or items for extended periods of time as it actually damages the skin/cells/muscles when exposed to too much heat for too long. 30 minutes is fine for me and the intermediate strength of the vibration feels better than I would expect. The pads actually last long. I've been using the same 1 pad since I opened this up a year and a half ago. It's perfectly possible as well as you clean it with rubbing alcohol occasionally and only use this when you're relatively clean. I don't use it on wet or dry sweat. If I had exercised earlier in the day, I would use it only after showering but before I put on any lotions. During the day, I may use it as long as I haven't worked out. Every now and then I would rub it down with the alcohol pad. That being said, I'm not a hairy person so I don't use it on places I have access body hair, such as my legs. All in all, I would consider buying additional Venom line items due to my happiness with this item, but I would wait for a sale. ... show more

The Hyperice customer service via chat was great. Was very knowledgeable as he had one Answered all of my questions, and even got a email copy of our conversation. So far the venom go has been great. I’ve used it about 15 times and it really helps relax the muscle. The battery lasts for a little less than an hour but you can make it last a little longer depending on the heat and vibration combination picked. It takes about 2.5 hours to recharge. It has 3 different vibration cycles and 3 heat levels. Heats up immediately and gets nice and warm. The entire 5”X3.5” pad heats up vibrates. The vibration is amazingly strong for its size. The replacement pads are a bit pricey at about $10 each bought in a pack of 3. Wish the venom go was less expensive as I would consider buying another one. ... show more

I had really high hopes for Hyperice products, especially since I already use their massage gun and have had a good experience with it. Unfortunately, the Venom Go is probably one of the worst products they’ve made. Even with a full charge, the battery barely lasts 20–25 minutes. For a product at this price point from a brand like Hyperice, that’s extremely disappointing. I honestly don’t understand how they released a product with such poor battery life. Hyperice had built a good reputation with me, but products like this really hurt my confidence in the brand. The targeted heat and vibration has helped ease some of the pain in my muscles from a car accident, and helped loosen the muscles. The only issues I have with the device is the battery doesn't last long, especially when using heat on level 3 with vibration, it takes awhile to fully charge, and pads only last for about 15 uses. ... show more

This is one of my favorite things I own. If you have chronic pain, this is life changing. I love that it is without wires, so you can move around once you feel better. The adhesive sticks well to your skin but also peels off / resticks without issue. It also gets hot enough to soothe your aches (my biggest concern). The battery life is good. It's super portable, too. I love this product so much I've talked several others into getting thier own. Though, you could always share with someone else since it comes with more than one patch (and the replacement/extra patches are pretty cheap). ... show more

As someone who has sore shoulders/back due to a full day of working at a desk, I was excited to try the Hyperice Venom Go for some relief. While the heat and vibration provided some temporary comfort, the battery life of the device left me feeling drained. I felt like I was constantly having to charge the device, which was almost as frustrating as my back pain. It's a shame because the heat and vibration combination did feel nice on my sore muscles, but I found myself having to cut my sessions short due to the battery dying every 30-40 minutes. The part that bothers me more is the sticky pad that you are supposed to reuse. After 3 uses, I see the borders of the pad already losing its adhesive. I don't see it lasting the 20 times Hyperice suggests it could. And at $10/pad for replacements, I can see this getting pricey really quickly. All in all, this little gadget is a decent option for temporary relief, but don't expect it to be a cure-all for your sore body. It's a bit like that friend who's always there for you, but only for a little while before they have to go charge their battery. ... show more

I own several Hyperice devices, including the Venom 2 Back. So at first was skeptical of how hot this could get since it's super small — but was surprised it actually heats up fast and gets hot — almost too hot. I use it on the middle heat setting with the first vibration pattern for 10-15 minutes on the spot that needs relief. Speaking of spot relief, the sticky pad works well and stays on unless I'm sweaty or just took a shower. I've only used one pad so far and it still works very well. They say it can last up to 50 uses, though I'm not sure it can make it that far — maybe if I'm super careful not to get the pad dirty. The strength of this device though is that it can be placed in hard-to-reach areas and controlled from the app they provide. I can adjust everything from the heat level, vibration pattern, length of session, straight from my phone. Love that. Also that it can be worn discretely under most reasonably fitting clothing (not spandex pants, obv.). Looks like you can use multiple devices at once, too, although how many people will own more than one? Nice feature if you can make use of it, though. Overall, highly recommend for anyone who needs spot relief on specific areas of the body, back, legs, arms, chest, etc. ... show more

I have other products by this manufacturer and love them. This one has serious shortcomings that, for me renders it ineffective. The charge life is only about thirty minutes. Love the fact it is small and can be adhesive to the pain area but the heat and massage levels are far too low to have any impact. Wish I could return it…. ... show more
