Update: it's been another month and another dead fish. We had a betta for the past month or so and woke up this morning to it missing. I disassembled the pump after seeing fins floating around and found the body. This aquarium has been the hardest one to maintain I've ever owned. Update #2: Now the clock doesn't work. I've reset the time numerous times today after noticing the light not changing. I've tried unplugging it for an hour to get everything to reset, but it's not resetting. So now I just have a normal 6 gallon aquarium with no smart features because without the clock working, the lights don't change, the UV light can't follow the schedule, the auto feeder won't work. Original: We had this aquarium for only a month. Initially, there was problems with the automatic feeder dispensing too much food at once over the holiday weekend causing the filter to clog and my fish died. After returning and cleaning everything out, I reached out to the company about getting to reduce the amount of food from the feeder and there wasn't any solution to do that so I was able to stick some tape to make the opening smaller. That worked. I changed out the filter sponge to a carbon filter sheet which seems to be helping with the water clarity. Now a new issue which is very concerning is that the heating element is starting to warp and melt the plastic housing around it. It tells me that it's getting really hot in that area.

Just a brief rundown...the controls on this aquarium DO NOT WORK. I had the seller even send me an entirely NEW aquarium. It STILL doesn't work. The timer is supposed to be a simple clock. This is what keeps time on ALL of the other functions! If it doesn't keep simple time...nothing ELSE works. Fish feeder....lights....nothing works when it's supposed to. It is a known defective issue that they won't replace just the instrument panel....no. They have to send you a new massive crate. This purchase was soooo much of a headache and the product is still not working??? Not worth the time trust me. Please just do not waste a penny on this item. Since the feeder doesn't work I had to buy a travel feeder to keep my fish fed on trips. This has been a complete joke of a product. Zero stars...not one star. :(

Great size. The control panel is difficult to use. Hard to understand and the temperature is always way to high. I can't tell where the thermometer is located to see if it's been hindered or not. The all in one filter system is great in theory, but getting into it to clean has been proven difficult as well.

This is the worst tank ever! Do not buy! It sucked up my African Dwarf frog and my fish! It is also very hard to clean and the filter is very noisy! I would rate it zero stars if I could!

Beginner aquarist here! I’ve been downgrading from a cycled 20 gal to 5gals for easier management and to hide in my apartment easier haha, This tank comes with a reliable and nice heater, nice LED’s, a fairly sturdy lid and was decently easy to set up. However, the filter sucked up my crown tail betta and tore him to shreds during his first night in his new tank. I’ve put a sponge around the filter’s mouth to try and prevent this from happening again, but that it happened at all was pretty upsetting. EDIT / UPDATE; I put a sponge on the filter, bought a new [ and expensive ] betta fish, he was fine for about a week but today I’ve found his torn up remains and fins scattered about in the tank, somehow the tank. I’m making plans to replace the tank.

The assembly of this tank is minimal. You must assemble the working parts; otherwise, everything is already in place. It takes no time, and it is working well. So far, so good. I am hoping my goldfish stays alive based on me and not the tank. It is definitely a nice starter kit, and it does not take up a lot of space. The thing I like the most is that the tank has a low hum. There is not a lot of noise. The price is also reasonable. It would make a great gift.

It's horrible don't recommend at all for many reasons I have been missing 2 fish I've checked every where and they can't be found!!! Filter don't hardly work and pump don't! Can't get a person on the phone ever at all! It's differently a horrible purchase I don't recommend it at all!!!
